We have a swampy pond behind our property so we have a lot of mosquitoes. These work great. We are able to enjoy the back patio without being eaten alive by mosquitoes, LOL. These must be 80 feet from where you gather, i.e., patio, porch, etc. and cannot be hung together.

I really wanted this to work. I watched online videos and researched these things but I can not say that these honestly work AT ALL. According to the instructions, the mosquitos are attracted to the liquid inside these tubes. They climb inside and drink the liquid and then fly away and die.. What? So I have to just take your word for it? I checked these things daily and never saw so much as one mosquito come near these things. You would think that you would find a least one mosquito inside the containers but nada! Full transparency, I did find a few ants and a spider, in the tubes but I have a real pest control company for those! I saw no difference in the mosquito population in my yard. These things are pretty pricey. I need something more than, "They drink and die some place else, trust us". In the end, I tried it, and I was not convinced in the least. Unfortunately once you use them, you can't send them back. Kinda feel like this is a scam in every single way. Thumbs down. ~Cheers!

First of all, I live in South Florida (thank you, I appreciate your sympathy at this difficult time). From May to November, it rains every.single.day. And I was lucky enough to buy a house on 2 acres with about 100 cypress trees on the low-lying property. (Don’t worry - I’m getting to the point!)What we didn’t realize is that our property is MAJORLY in need of lots of fill and leveling because when it rains/pours my front and back yards turn into their own lakes. I’ve got about 3 separate ones, along with a half dozen mini ponds that pop up as well. And if we get enough rain, it’ll take a week of hot, 🥵 humid, Florida sunshine to dry them back up into normal grass. And these aren’t the fun “let’s get out the arm floaties and sip some margs” kinda lakes. These are the types of mosquito brothels that you wouldn’t BELIEVE!!!I have a screened in patio, but I have 3 dogs that are in and out of the yard, so we try to keep the door propped open but unless you’re covered head to toe, you’ll be eaten alive by mosquitoes the size of half dollars. (Sidenote: I do own a full beekeepers suit my mother bought my husband for lawn mowing when he was bitten by 2 wasps and we found out he was allergic. And I have no shame in admitting I’ve worn it as mosquito protection on the porch.)I found someone talking about this product on our towns Facebook page and I had to give it a try. I know the directions say to span it out a lot further but I put them on the two trees outside, closest to my patio. And promptly forgot about them for about a month.Someone posted again on the town Facebook, asking if they knew when they were spraying for mosquitoes because they were getting so bad. That’s when I realized that I hadn’t seen or been bitten by a mosquito. In a month. I checked on my husband and son. No bites. It’s now been 4 months and I haven’t had a mosquito bite yet.You need this product. Everyone needs it. It’s magical and I don’t even care what’s in it. Mosquitoes are the Devils House pet and this product 💯 delivers at keeping them AWAY!!

We hung 4 of the Spartan mosquito tubes exactly one month ago after following the directions exactly as described. I had read a lot of rather mixed reviews prior to trying these. From what I gathered, the 5 star reviewers seemed to follow the directions for the time of placement along with number of tubes and the areas on the property they placed them. We hung 4 tubes on a .80 acre property to keep mosquitos at bay on our large back deck area and off of the garage and driveway area, where kids tend to hang out with friends and work on cars, boat, and prepare fishing equipment etc.- areas where in the evening we have always had problems with mosquitos biting like crazy as soon as the sun starts to go down. We hung all 4 tubes within trees: one in each corner of the backyard, one in a tree that runs parallel to the garage and driveway, and one in a tree in the front yard on the last front corner of the property. I have been sitting outside several nights a week, most recently 2 nights ago, sitting out on the deck from dusk until total darkness with extreme humidity after a 93 degree day. We have not sprayed, used any citronella, or skin repellents. I can confidently say that since we hung the tubes, I have only seen one mosquito in my backyard in one entire month. We live within walking distance to a large pond. I am truly amazed that we have been able to gather in our yard in the evenings and are not experiencing getting bitten by mosquitoes. I ordered 4 more tubes so that I can maintain the same result for July. The Spartan product comes with extensive instructions on how to use the mosquito tubes so that you obtain excellent results. They even provide a link to a video on instructions. I believe if you follow their directions, they work. If you already have a huge mosquito problem on your property, I’m not sure how effective they will be. I think placing these tubes early before the mosquitos are out in full swing is a priority, as well as maintaining the tubes. Due to evaporation of the water in extreme heat and the potential of hard rains diluting the tubes in the summer months, you need to follow instructions for replacing tubes on your property every 30 days or sooner as needed. I am looking forward to seeing how July and August go. I think for the cost of 4 tubes a month through the summer months and maybe early fall, this is a cost effective solution for us. I am not a fan of spraying the property at all, so this product has been a game-changer! Also, want to mention that we have thriving purple Martin birds and several other birds on our property, several squirrel families, rabbits, and a lot of dragonflies & butterflies. I feel confident that using the Spartan mosquito tubes on our property will not have a negative impact on the wildlife. The tubes are hung at least 6 feet high on branches within trees.
