Our water where I live is pretty hard. I've even bought a filter to run the water through to fill the hot tub, but I still get a chalky calcium buildup. I started using this product about a month ago and could tell a difference in the water- it felt a little more silky. It didn't knock out my existing calcium buildup, but after I drained and scoured the tub it does maintain a smoothness on the surfaces and inhibits future buildup. My tub is pretty small at about 245 gallons, so only a half an ounce a week does it for me.

This Product is easy to use and works as it should. The Instructions are clear. It's a good Product to control Scale. I tried it to clean existing Stains and wasn't as successful as I would have liked. I'm still testing it on Things so see what else I can use this Product on. I like the Price for this large Bottle.

I use the chemical in a large humidifier that rotates more than 24 gallons of water automatically. The humidifier is old, and the calcium deposits are visible. The chemical did not remove the stains or the calcium deposits, but it cleaned the system. This chemical is good prevention but not a solution if the calcium is established in large quantities.Update 04/16/2022I started to use a lot more of it and the results were visible. The scale on the side of the tank is still there, but it cleaned the fiber used to recirculate the water, and I can see all the residue settling at the bottom of the tank, and I just clean it.As mentioned before, I am using it in a 24-gallon tank, and I did not think I would need to use almost 1/4 of the bottle to see results.

I am using the spa stain and scale control for our spa once a week as described. It lowers alkalinity and hardness faster than expected. We do not have very hard water and I needed to reduce it slightly. I tested the spa with a strip and both hardness and alkalinity were below ideal ratios. I will still use this weekly as needed to reduce the chance of any stain or scale build-up but will also need to keep a close eye on hardness and Ph. It appears to be an effective product and fast acting.
