Amateur at archery and kept reading about Flemish Twist bow strings and they are not a disappointment! Made my bow much more quieter and shoots better! I’ve ordered a few for each of my bows! Would definitely recommend and purchase again

Got here almost a week early, and is surprisingly high quality for the price. Not that it matters in the utmost, but I also had the easiest time by a very wide margin stringing this particular bow (Pearson cougar series 706-64") using this sting. All and all, will be here again, nice to see there are still high quality made in America goods.

The flemish loops are well made and should provide extra protection for the string notches on my recurve. I'll do an update of my review in a month or two as I'll be able to notice any stretching or possible wear during this time. Ascetically, it's a good looking string as well

I'm new to trad and this is an major step up from the normal string and to the ppl that said its fraying thats normal with flemish twist so I've heard...but yeah if you're looking at these for your next bow string I wouldn't hesitate one bit

I usually either make or have custom strings made for my bow, but I ran out of material and needed a string quickly. I had this one in two days through Prime, and it does the job. Lengthwise, it did seem a bit short upon first stringing and I had to untwist it a bit to lower the brace height, but purposefully left it a bit high to accommodate stretching. The string DOES stretch at first, but all strings do to a certain extent. This one slightly moreso. I recommend using a metal nock point so you can readjust as the string stretches out. It took about 50-60 arrows and two slight nock point readjustments before the string finally settled and I could tune the bow properly. If I'd had the time, I would have strung my bow and left it for a few hours before shooting to lessen the amount of arrows I had to shoot before the string stopped stretching. After that, I could finally get my groupings back under control. If you're not a bit fidgety about tuning like I am (or you're a beginner), it's a fine string. It "thunks" slightly less than dacron, but isn't too much quieter. I can't speak to arrow speed, since I have no way of measuring it, but fast-flight does tend to be an improvement overall. If you're thinking this string will drastically improve your skill, it won't. But it won't make it worse. (Actually, yes it will until you get it settled in and semi-tuned. Then it'll get better again.)I'm still going to make a custom string that better suits my bow, but I'll be glad to have this as a backup.

Bought this string for my 35lb spider xl takedown recurve......for those who say the string didn’t fit I truly believe you don’t know what size your bow is because I ordered the 64 AMO string for my 64in bow and got the proper 60in string I needed. Anyways it made my arrows fly straighter with the extra oooomph it gave and I hit more bullseyes this morning then I ever have in the past week. I’m extremely new to archery but have been doing my homework and this string is good so far. If anything changes I will update this review but from what you read on this now I suggest you get it because it’s not a risk....it’s a solid string and has helped a lot.

I have a vintage Shakespeare Model B-9 Fury 50" Fiberglass Recurve Bow, & this fit perfectly. It works great too. I recently got another one of the same bow for free & plan to purchase another one of these strings for it too. I really like this string. Also, all the people complaining about the wrong size you need to learn how to measure your bow for the correct size, for a recurve bow the string should be smaller than the actual bow length, that's how the bow bends. I'm a beginner at archery & this has worked perfect for me with my vintage bow. I've added pictures of my bows so yo can see why the string needs to be shorter than the bow itself. It has to be shorter so the bow curves like it's supposed to, if you get a string that's exactly the same length of your recurve bow then your bow won't bend & it will be useless.

Ordered the AMO 62 string for my Samick Sage takedown recurve bow (62" AMO), and received the CORRECT string, which is AMO 62 (actual length 58").For recurves, the proper actual length of the bowstring should indeed be 4" less than the AMO size. So a 58" ACTUAL will be a 62 AMO for a recurve bow (for long bows, the actual length should be 3" less than the bow's AMO length). If ordering the string from this product page, note that the size listed on this product page in the dropdown is the AMO length (they show the actual length in parentheses). It can be confusing because different vendors have different ways of measuring the string length - some list actual size, some list AMO. I saw that this product page listed it as AMO length, so I purchased the AMO 62 string since my Sage is an AMO 62.I measured the received SAS string using a tape measure, and it was actually 58" pretty much on the nose. I have fitted the string on my bow and am letting it stretch for 24 hours. I did not even need to add any twists to the string because it gave me a brace height of 8" right out of the box.I will update this review if needed after the string has set and I've used it for a few weeks.
