On first use fiberglass riser began to splinter from being used by a 10 year old. This is not a safe product. Do not buy If you care about the life of the person you plan to use use it.Update: contacted southland archery and they sent over 2 new limbs. It works great for him now and he loves the bow.

My kid is new to the world of archer but needed a nice bow to practice the techniques. This bow has been a great fit. It is lightweight, has a comfortable grip and just enough force.

We love shooting our recurve bow. Our grandkids wanted to shoot with us but our bows were too big. This is the perfect size!

Very nice setup for my grand daughter to start her archery journey. Just buy some arrows and you will be good to go.

My son is 10 and just got into archery, so after lots of comparing we went with this bow in the left handed option. The draw weight is perfect for him, the grip looks very nice, and it shoots great. I've even shot it. We took it to a local archery shop and they wrapped the string to make it thicker so the arrow nocks fit better. Overall I recommend this for the perfect starter bow!

The Samick Sage Jr. arrived today undamaged and early. No problems with the bow, it is well made and shoots well. would not hesitate to recommend this bow for an adult female just starting out or any junior archer.

I have the standard size Samick Sage, and my kid had grown out of the entry level bow, so this was an upgrade. Build quality is good and draw weight was the proper increase(from #18 to #25) To continue archery training for the kid. One of the accessory mount brass thread inserts came loose, but I can epoxy that back in, so no praw.

I began my life long love of archery 63 years ago with a very nice 1st bow and decent arrows. I wanted my Grandson to have no less so I chose this well crafted take-down bow for that reason. For a few bucks more than glorified toy bows sell for this one is an investment. He can get heavier limbs for it as he grows and use this bow for some years to come. I can't wait to see him shoot it on Christmas!
