Easy to start and straightforward. For those who are new to sourdough, this kit is ideal. This package includes everything I need to maintain a sourdough starter in my refrigerator; all I had was a normal jar. Very durable glass jar with an aluminum top, cloth cover, and silicone scraper. I enjoy it all, but I really like how sturdy this Sourdough Starter Kit is and how little room it takes up in the refrigerator.

As a baking newbie, fermentation is the hardest for me. However, it is the most important step for making yeast breads. This jar is made to help people like me. It includes everything needed for creating bulk fermentation. Before having this, I was simply using a bowl with plastic wraps (with holes pierced with toothpicks) for creating the environment. This jar comes with a breathable cloth cover, which is much more reliable. The thermometer sticker and feeding band are super helpful for controlling the dough activities and monitoring the progress. I've been getting very consistent results with this jar. Very happy with the product.
