I ordered this for my 8-year-old son with special needs, who likes imitating sounds. He often makes videos on topics he loves and is using this sound effects 'machine' to enhance his videos. He has had so much fun with it. The sounds are fun and distinct. It is the perfect size to fit in my son's pant pocket. This sound effects machine takes three larger-sized button batteries. It stopped working for a moment the day after we received it. We opened the battery compartment (which requires a tiny screwdriver) to check if the batteries had died, but we discovered that one battery wasn’t inserted correctly. After adjusting it, it has worked flawlessly since. This little device provides a lot of fun, especially for animated, energetic kids like mine. However, it can become annoying to adults after a while, so it’s best to limit its use to specific times and places. Overall, it's a fun toy that keeps my son occupied and enhances his imagination.

These sound button machines are usually cheap and very poorly made. This is decently made but a bit overpriced for what you get. The buttons include burping, laughing, wah-wah, a squeaky toy, trumpet like don-don-don, clapping, etc. but my son will probably love it still.

This small novelty item works just as you'd want it to. Sounds are clear and loud – very fun to play with, take to school or work to pull pranks. Everyone passed this around playing with it. A lot of fun for adults or kids.

There is something about entering a room, announcing to my wife "I am here" and then immediately hearing loud applause. Or stating, "I have to go to work tomorrow", and have it followed by a crowd "booing". It always brings a smile to my face and laughter from whoever is listening. This is a must have for any situation, party or anything but a party. I enjoy all the different sounds from a drum roll to glass breaking. i just wish it had the iconic comedic drum sound "ba bam-tsss" and it would be complete. Even without that it still deliverers in every other department. The sounds themselves are not horrible-inaudible-scratchy-muffled-junk that i was expecting from such a small item, they are decent quality. i was also surprised at how loud this little thing is. The first time i used it was late at night when it was just me and my wife and i had to muffle it under the blanket so it would not wake our daughter in the other room. Pretty impressed and a decent laugh.

Pretty cool device. Not something I would use among those not familiar with your sense of humor though. Good for a quick laugh or two though to be sure. Perfect drum roll, audience laughter, audience boo, even the "wah wah" should work well. Just be aware, the effect may wear off after a while, so putting it away early or just using once in a conversation may be the best possible outcome. Over use will likely get annoying in some instances, detrimental to the conversation.

We got this for my son who is 6 years old. He is our prankster in the family. We thought he would thoroughly enjoy this, and he does! The compact size makes this easy for him to keep in his pocket or in his lunch bag. When we go somewhere, he always asks "are there going to be other kids" because he wants to prank them and make silly sounds for them. There are 16 different sounds on this, each displayed by drawing on the corresponding button. For the size, this is pretty loud. My son loves doing the drumroll when he is about to do something. He also likes the horn, although he keeps asking why they didn't put a fart sound on it for him, but he is ok with the burp! Its hard plastic, but as well made as could be. Battery is easily accessible when you need to replace it. We just wish it came with a carry strap or fabric case.
