This fishing tool kit includes needle-nose pliers, a fish gripper, and line scissors. The scissors are very sharp. I use the pliers for my home projects and keep the scissors on my desk for cutting papers, cardboard, ropes, thin wires, fabric, even plants. Have not used the tool kit for fishing yet. The tools feel to be of good quality. They are great tools for home projects and fishing trips. The tools are light weight and easy to use. Besides, they are good price and excellent quality. It is a very nice practical fishing tool kit, and it is absolutely worth the money.

I've had fish grippers before and this one works great; but what I always had trouble finding was the scissors that this kit includes. The blades are so curved and sharp that the scissors slice through braided line like butter. Trust me, take your household scissors and try and cut through braid. Can't do it. These cones can. The pliers are fine and they cut through stainless steel line but they aren't long enough to remove hooks when they are way down inside a fishes mouth. They are fine around the fish jaw. I would definitely get this kit again.

I really like the packaging, came in a nice black box with the three tools neatly fitted inside. Almost a pity to take them out to put into my tackle box! I was thinking that this would make a great gift for anyone who is into fishing, definitely a great starter kit for newbies. I have used the pliers multiple times now, for taking hooks out as well as clamping split shots on lines. The pliers felt comfortable to use and is perfect for getting hooks out of small fish. I have used the scissors for cutting lines as well as small bait (worms, squid, chicken meat); it looked flimsy but was surprisingly solid and very sharp. So far, I have not used the gripper since I have not caught any fish large enough to need using it.

Like the size and quality of the fish lip grippers. The grippers are easy to hold and operate. The foam handle makes it comfortable to hold the gripper while working to remove the hook. It would be nice if the pliers had a lever to keep them closed but they do not open really wide so they do not make up much space. . The needle nose pliers are Teflon coated so they will not rust. The pliers have raised plastic sections that provide friction so the handles of the pliers do not slip in your hand while using them. The small scissors look cheap but they have titanium-bonded blades that will well outlast the plastic handles and the scissor blades are serrated to make them cut better. This set is a good value and would make a good gift.

The star of the show here is the fish grabber, which is pretty awesome. Really easy to hold and operate and I love that its spring loaded. The pliers are great too, also spring loaded. Nice grip, with side cutters at the pivot point. The scissors are pretty basic and nothing special but they'll cut fishing line. Overall it's a good set for the price.

I got this kit mainly for the gripper, but the scissors and pliers are a bonus and work well. I mostly use grippers on catfish. Compared to my other plier style gripper this one is easier to get in the fishes mouth because it is thinner.One feature that would make it much nice is if it could rotate or swivel. Sometimes when a large fish is really rolling or spinning to try and get away it can be hard to control, but if the gripper could swivel would not try twist your hand around.

The fish holder is super comfortable and works great, the scissors are nice. Very comfortable to hold. The pliers have an exposed spring, we'll see how long it lasts around saltwater. Also, there's no way to lock the pliers closed, and no carrying case (so it would be a super hassle to carry around). I have a better set (lockable) of fishing pliers, which i plan on using, but will use the fish holder and scissors until i find a suitable plier carrying case.
