i was looking for a stylish shoe cabinet [to hide my leather boots from my cats and their love for clawing things] and when i saw this hall tree, i knew that i needed it.the packaging and assembly were great, the instructions are easy to follow as long as you're paying attention [i accidentally screwed in the top backboard piece backwards, which holds the hooks, so i had to disassemble and reassemble- still doable and fine though]. a simple hand drill makes the assembly faster and easier, but its completely doable manually with a screwdriver too. i personally love putting furniture together, so i had fun with this.my whole house has hardwood flooring, so i put furniture stoppers on the 4 corners of the bottom [not the rubber stoppers pictured, but black felt stoppers instead so that the thing can easily slide around].i also placed drawer liner in the bottom cabinets so that the wood is protected a little from my shoes!i was worried about the large block of colour against the wall like that- so i took some measurements, bought a mirror from a furniture store, and hung that bad boy right inbetween the bench and the hanging hooks! all it took was some careful measuring and a drill bit. i was able to use the extra screws that came with the packaging. and dare i say, the mirror looks like its a part of the furniture! plus, it serves as a good way to look at your fit before you head out the door ✨️i like storing my pocket items in the overhang cubbies, like my wrist watches and facemasks.i easily stored my sneakers in the left drawers and my taller boots in the right cabinet. [the cabinet can hold 3 pairs of boots if you stragetically organize them. the drawers can hold 3 or 4 pairs of shoes each, depending on the shoe sizes] that along with hanging my jackets, work clothes, and hats on the hangers, makes the morning ritual that much more convenient!its pretty customizable in little ways- i adore this thing, was excited to put it together. my cats love it too, which means its definitely worth the purchase for sure ♡ couldn't be happier to find something that was right for me :]

This has been holding up well in our mud room. Good place to put your shoes, back packs, and hats.
