It’s a very compact unit but does everything I need .I can’t get it to connect to my home theatre system,but my 7 ft tv and sound bar does the job

Works great!! I purchased the Rocco’s modern life series on Blu-ray from Germany awhile ago bc it was the only way to get the show uncut but haven’t had a way to play it at all bc it’s in pal format. This player did just like it said so I’m ecstatic that I can finally enjoy it! Definitely worth picking up!!

I was a little nervous purchasing this because of some of the reviews. Oh my gosh, I set this up in 10 seconds and right off the bat was playing region two DVDs. Just to make sure it would play all my DVDs I threw in one specific to the US region. No problem. It automatically picks up on what region a DVD is specific to and plays it. You don’t have to do anything just sit watch enjoy. It’s small so it fits easily under my television. I could not be happier. Oh and by the way, the HD picture quality is superb. I have a Fire TV and no issues with set up.

Today as well as the future, I'm going to buy a couple of DVD/BluRay sets that won't play on U.S. machines. I had bought a region free DVD player a couple of years ago and it plays the British sitcom I bought to watch it. Also U.S. DVDs and ones i have burned myself.Bought a different brand BD region free earlier and returned it as it wouldn't play anything but U.S. DVD's. Paid a bit more but so far it works with U.S and British regions.. so I'm going to buy a Non-U.S. BD set and I'm expecting ill be able to watch that. Region on the player is changed by pushing the color button which matches the region the disk is from. I printed out a global map of all the continents with the different region colors and put it with my instructions. U.S. is red, England is Green, etc.I had my U,S.Sony BD player set up as I use it frequenyly, and I set up this region free Sony for testing near to my U.S. player. Remote for the new region free BD Sony turned on/off and opened/closed my U.S. Sony player so I'll just not have them close together when I'm watching something on one or the other. I was confused for a few minutes though! Two disk trays opening and closing in unison was unexpected.I'm very happy right now but when I get the new DVD set will be the final test.

"Crack in the World" and "Who's Minding the Store" blu-ray disc is region B inserts and plays this Sony Multi Zone Region Free Blu-ray Player is working properly for the first time. Both of they setup optional english subtitles.

It doesnt turn on... the adapter isnt even Sony... fraudulent product... iv been cheated!! in less than a week the return window is shut... such treatment for a Prime member!

For the money, I will most likely purchase another! For the price of a blue ray ALL REGION PLAYER that's simple to set up, turn on, hit eject (no set up first or at all),press the button for the region of disc, hit eject, disc goes in and plays. SIMPLE, E A S Y! Great picture. Don't use it for Internet (fire stick or Roku would work just fine). Purchased from Bombay. Get em while you can ,but save one for me! Oh, DVD is ALL REGION and they look GREAT. You just can't go wrong here for the price. Some have complaints about getting one that doesn't work... however, they contact seller and get one that does. My advice, buy NEW (yes, they have been open to upgrade to all region for blue ray disc, but unit is indeed brand new...at least mine was. Even comes with easy instructions ....see first sentence. Go for it!!!

Escogi este reproductor Sony, por que siempre me ha parecido una excelente marca. El aparato es muy pequeño para mi gusto pero su desempeño es bueno, no tuve ningun problema para reproducir mis discos (dvd y blu rays) de regiones diferentes.

I had the same situation of another customer here in these reviews.I bought this item since it is described as Multi System Region Free Blue-Ray able to play on 110-240 v. but the AC Adaptor that comes with the item it reports that is functioning on 110 v. only.I thought that it has been modified by seller as well.The player did really work for about 4 times (these are the times I used it in 5 months) and last night, when I started it again, was DEAD.I think this is a major problem since I bought it for my assignment out of the U.S. and I thought I bought a SONY RF1500RF...it is a SONY S1500 MODIFIED instead. What I got was a BDP-S1500 with a sticker over the model number indicating it was "region free 110-240 dual voltage". The unit had an after-market "modification" with a 90 day warranty and a plug in adaptor that was clearly ONLY playable in a 110v environment. Included was a photocopied one page sheet of instructions. Given that a BDP-S1500 is normally about $85, the company distributing this thing is charging an additional $75 to unlock it. They should be advertising a "modified" BDP-S1500, NOT a S1500RF. I was planning on bringing the unit with me to Europe, but given the limitations of the plug-in adaptor, I cannot. Buyer beware.
