It's not the best blu ray, I got this one because I thought the upscaling would be great, about the same as my blu ray without it. I'd go for a cheaper one if i were you.

This 4k player is a replacement for my old player. My old player freezes up too much. This is a good player. Setup was easy.

I initially had some reservations about buying this over the much pricer Panasonic version, but I must say that it's performed very well. Initially I had issues with movies freezing, but I now will clean the disc prior to playing and have not had any further issues. The picture quality of even upscaled BD is amazing on my Sony OLED TV. I don't regret making this purchase one bit.

Probably the last DVD/BR player I will own, but this is performing well and is a decent matchup with my recent upgrade to a new Sony A95L 65 inch OLED tv.

Best picture and sound quality I’ve ever seen, on my Sony A-90 J TV using a Sony 5000ES Receiver with Focal Sopra Speakers.Good price for what you get. 👍

I wanted a quality player for my entertainment center. I did some research and found what I believe to be the best "bang for the buck" value. I am so glad I didn't go for a cheaper option. The first thing I noticed when I unboxed it was the heavy weight and the large size. It looks and feels like quality. I am really enjoying everything about it - the functionality, the menu, the smart features. I'm not getting everything out of this player yet as I currently have a 1080p television, not 4k. Even so, the video quality is great and it upscales dvd's closer to Bluray quality. I am sure I will have more good things to say about the video quality once I have a 4k TV to take full advantage of this 4k player. The only thing that remains to be seen is how it will hold up over time.
