In comparison to my A6000. I like the click it makes, the fact it doesn't overheat when recording video for longer than 20 minutes, it can record 4K 120 fps, and the touch the lcd screen to focus on that touch point is pretty awesome. However touch to focus will focus on wherever your nose is smashed into the lcd screen when you brought it up to your eye using the viewfinder in the top left. Wished the viewfinder was higher resolution, but it does go smoother at 60 fps instead of 30 fps. I returned it cause it was not worth it. Since the A6000 is $400-600 used.

I am personally a strong believer that the camera body contributes less to your pictures than your lenses do. With that being said, the 6100 has the same sensor (as far as I can tell) as the 6400 and 6600 at a fraction of the price. You can then turn around and use the money you saved to invest in some super nice lenses. I went with the sigma 18-50mm, sigma 56mm, and the Sony 70-350mm and am blown away by the quality of pictures that come out of it. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone that is just getting started in photography and does not want to commit to a full frame setup.

Wow! Just wow! The video quality coming out of this model from Sony is stunning! I've shot a few music videos and a commercial professionally, yes, with this camera. It's beyond capable. They've improved the color science and the 4K footage is simply amazing! Crisp, accurate colors are the two stand outs regarding this camera. Although it doesn't have S-log as a feature the colors are so on point you most likely won't miss it. I neutralize and zero out the presets and later in post I have no problem color grading or adding my favorite LUTS. Buy it, you'll like it!

I purchased this because I needed A light weight camera to carry while hiking and back packing. I have a canon 6D with a sigma 35 art or a big ole 24-70 L. I wanted to have something that was sharp and would really capture the color and landscape that I would be shooting but also able to carry in a front pouch. So far I feel that’s it’s build well. I opted out of the kit lens and purchased a Rokinon 12 mm, manual focus for the foos wide angle shots. Will update once I go out with it.Update*6/12/2* I feel like it lags a little when shooting. After manually focusing it takes several seconds after the shot in order to get back to a live view. Other than that the images are crisp

Bought this body only to go along with the 16-50 and 55-200 kit lens. The A6100 is a giant step up from the A6000. This is definitely not a camera for beginner. Manual has improved from A6000 but still not easy to use, take some time to get used to.

The camera is everything expected. High quality images. Menu a bit tedious, but manageable. I do not find the low resolution eva a problem. Enjoy the speed of the autofocus. I'm a long-time Canon shooter 5D mkiii with L series lenses and I am pleased with this Sony for street shooting and where I'd like to be more discreet.

I got the A6100 as an upgrade for my A6000. The A6100 basically has the same sensor as the A6000 but the autofocus system is better. But the color science is better on the A6100 as is the low light performance. The A6100 has the eye tracking autofocus for people and pets and it is great. The menu system is fine. Granted I have only used Sony Alpha cameras, but once you get used the menus they are fine.I am very happy with the A6100. While I did like the A6000, the A6100 is a big improvement for me.

I have been a Sony Mirrorless user since 2015. I love the compact size of the Sony A6000 line and this Camera is an absolute bargain. Its my daily shooter for video and has handled everything that I throw at it. I often shoot in rain, snow and wind and the Sony A6100 holds up everytime. In the review, it asked me to rate the features and Touch Screen was an option. I dont like the touchscreen because its a little messy when you flip up the screen and you accidentally touched it and now its locked it focus on some obscure part. You can cancel that but its my only annoyance.

Even though It might not be as "loaded" as the A6600, 6400 or the 6500, the improvements over its predecessor are well worth it. A VERY GOOD complement to your photo equipment. The tracking on this model is absolutely phenomenal. Enjoy.
