Okay, let me just say—this camera is fun. Upgrading from my trusty a7R IV felt like swapping a bicycle for a rocket. The autofocus? It’s basically magic. My dog sprinting through the park? The a7R V locks onto her like it’s reading my mind, nailing every blurry-paw action shot. And the video! I shot a clip of my niece’s dance recital in 8K, and the details are so crisp I can count the sequins on her costume. The flip-out screen is a silly little upgrade I didn’t know I needed—now I can vlog hiking trips without awkwardly tilting the camera like a tourist. Even the menus finally make sense (thank you, Sony!). Sure, the a7R IV was a powerhouse, but the a7R V feels like it’s laughing with me, not at me, when I try new stuff. If you love taking photos and messing around with video, this thing is like a playground in your hands. Worth the hype? Absolutely.

This item included all original packaging and equipment (save the full instruction manual, which I don't know, maybe Sony is only publishing the online manuals and providing the QR code with the link, which WAS included). Some other reviewers have noted that the product they received was from a different region, or "grey market". In my case, I was able to successfully register the product to the Sony website in my region (USA), and even purchase an extended warranty for it from Sony, very satisfied about that. I also verified the shutter count on the EXIF data, and it turns out the first photos I took with this camera were the first activity on the shutter. It seems this product was actually brand new, probably not able to be advertised as such by the seller for legal reasons. A phenomenal deal! I also appreciate the fact that the seller ordered overnight shipping from FedEx and required a signature. I wasn't home the first time they attempted delivery, and it would have been a travesty to have an item like this just sitting on my porch, especially with the lithium battery shipping label advertising the expensive electronics in the box.

The camera is in good condition. However, the seller didn't point out that this is a grey market product. Hence there are two problems: 1. Sony USA will not service cameras from grey market. Even if they do, there will be a big fee. Is your saving worth the risk? 2. Grey market new A7R5 is priced at the same price as this renewed product, so buyers are actually not saving money.I am returning this camera.

Best camera for landscape photography. A bit heavy, but very high resolution (61 Mp). Takes DSLR lenses with converter. Can do automatic focus stacks and exposure bracketing. Lots of choices for mirrorless lenses: Sony, Tamron, Laowa, Sigma, etc. Renewed camera works like new, no issues yet...

i just checked the mechanical shutter count, and it was 116. i have easily taken that many pictures with it. this unit is brand new. immaculate. I am still learning the ins and outs, but so far it feels very nice. if you are on the fence about buying a renewed camera from this seller, i would tell you to go for it. i really don't write reviews, but buying this renewed item saved me 500 dollars, it came in the alpha box with every bit of wrapper and accessories.

Went with the renewed option to save some money that I'd rather spend on lenses. After buying a renewed lens that came in a generic box and missing the lens hood, I was worried the same would happen with this camera.I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and found the original Sony box wi5h minimal to no wear and all pieces inside in original packaging. Took a couple shots to see the shutter count and I almost fell out my chair when I saw that the first two photos I took were the first two photos in the camera! Can't believe I received a brand new camera, felt like I won the lottery!

This camera looks like I walked into Best Buy and picked it up off the shelf. So far it’s functioning flawlessly. And it even came with the original box and all of the accessories. I’m very pleased with this purchase so far. This camera is definitely better than I am and I have a ton of room to grow with this camera.
