In order to keep my computer running fast - I download onto DVD those folders and files I want to keep, but don't have to have on the system. These DVDs work great! They're long-lasting, too. Most I've had for years and years. A very satisfied customer.

Have not had enough time to do any re-writes, but they should be fine. Have used Sony discs many times before, and have found them to be of good quality. Some reviewers have said that the discs would not play back on another player, you must finalize the recording, if you want to play back on a different machine.

These DVD-RW discs were almost incompatable with my old Toshiba DVD recorder player. They worked fine on the recorder and played back, but could not be played back on any other DVD player I owned. I donated them to my son-in-law for use on his computer.

These Work Well in my Toshiba DVD recorder and Toshiba combo DVD/TV. This is my second 10-pack of these Sony DVD's.I daily fill-up a DVD with recorded programming. After viewing the content, I simply reformat the disc for re-use. Used in this way each discs lasts 6 to 9 months before an error message appears saying " ... cannot finalize the disc". While it is not necessary to finalize the disc for playback on the same recorder, it is necessary for playback on a different machine, such as a combo DVD/TV. For me, most of the value of the disc is lost at this point so it is 'retired'.Conclusion: a great value for a minimum of 6 months of daily recordings per disc.

If you have a DVR, this is a must have. You can record over many times. Great quality and price. But it depends on the blank dvd’s they ship me. This last shipment was great the last two shipments were trash and 75% would not format.

I have 4 DVD recorders, and use this in all of them, LG, Pioneer, Toshiba, JVC. This works in all of them. I bought some 5 years ago, and have used them almost every two weeks, that would translate into about 100 or more times, I had to throw one away finally. The Maxell ones do not last as long or re-record as many times.

Not sure if it was my computer or the discs, but I was unable to complete a system backup on these discs. I got error messages for 3 of the discs, which hung up my drive and refused to allow themselves to be erased. The other 7 worked fine.

If you have a Toshiba DR570 DVD Recorder these discs work Great!! I have used them for about three months and have had no problems at all. I have used all yen disks multiple times with no problems. The Video quality is extremely good recording at the two hour time frame and pertty good using the four hour and is acceptable when using the 6 hour time speed. Obviously, the two hour is the best and even non high definition channels look really good as the Toshiba upconverts the shows to 1080 quality.
