If you tape a program on one dvd and you want to watch dvd on another unit then you must finalize the dvd after each use which I didn't know before I bought them. I thought once you finalize the disc you could play it on any dvd player. tried formatting and finalizing over and over and the dvd discs don't work on other players. Find a different brand of dvd's to buy - I m checking all brands now

These seem to have good staying power. I use them to record TV shows. One disk lasted just over four years before become unrecognizable.

This replaced dvd-ram media that kept failing in our dvd recorder. This works great, arrived on time, and was packaged well.

Recorded at 4x and verified using my internal LG DVD/Blu-Ray recorder which is DVD-RW 2x, 4x & 6x capable, played back without a flaw in an older Sony Blu-Ray player. Jury is still out on how many times I can erase and re-record on them, but so far so good.

I'm a big moviephile; I have hundreds of VHS tapes of movies taped from TV, but with the end of the analogue age, I had to go digital. The DVD+RW were lousy for taping because you lost the time of anything you erased, but the DVD-RW worked exactly like the VHS of old, allowing me to rewatch, erase and re-tape where I wanted. The sad part is the DVD-RWs with the case included are getting INCREDIBLY hard to find. Walmart, Staples and Office Max have stopped carrying them so it has become mandatory to buy them off the Net. I recommend these for anyone who tape their own movie collections.
