First one was defective, the second one works great. Easy to set manually if necessary, but mine received signal fairly fast. Recommend it.All new atomic clocks are lot like my first one, a Brookstone atomic clock which I bought at a Brookstone shop at Chicago airport over 20 years ago is still working fine. Can't beat that.

Radio control does not work at all. I tried for 2 weeks, put it next to a working radio controlled clock and nothing, just can not find the radio signal.

The display is difficult to see unless you are at the right angle, and it has never once synced with the atomic clock. I have a different brand in the kitchen, and it syncs every time, including daylight saving's time changes. This one is always manual, and the seconds never match the kitchen clock or my smartphone which are always identical. This one is closer to the west-facing window than the one in the kitchen, and it's only about 10 feet from the west wall of my apartment. The month/date are set in European fashion with the day first and month second with no way to change them.Useless. It is not the first of this brand that had trouble syncing, but I didn't realize it was the same brand as the other failed attempts before purchasing. The temperature seems accurate, that's about the only good thing I can say.

I bought this clock in 2013 and still love it. It is true that the owner's manual is difficult, but there are reviews here that tell you how to interpret it. It sometimes takes two days to find the right time, but once it does, it is fine until the batteries run out again (maybe two years). This is a DESK clock, and you cannot mount it one the wall. It is, therefore, much sturdier and more attractive because doesn't have cheap little stands sticking out the back of it that allow it to stand up. It also shows EXACT TIME; in other words, it shows SECONDS. It is a lovely clock, and I am going to buy another one as a gift.

I purchased this clock August 7, 2016. I loved the clock until November 2016 when the back blue light stopped working. You're supposed to be able to press a top button and the light will come on in the dark to display the time and temperature. It's a great feature while it works. I've taken excellent care of the clock. It should NOT have stopped working after only 3 months of use.It fits well on my night table; however, the main reason I purchased this clock was in order to press the top button to read the time in the middle of the night. Now that that feature won't work, the clock is useless. I wish the seller would send a new clock with a box to return the old one.

I give this clock 3 stars because the face doesn't stay lit at night! Number are nice & big but they are totally useless at night because of the absence of lite, the face only illuminates when you press the snooze button! Of course it doesn't tell you that in the description it shows a lit blue face with big numbers which is exactly what I wanted! This clock you can't tell what time it is unless you have it sitting within arms reach to press the snooze & if you have the clock that close why would you need such big number! For the price its not worth sending back so maybe I'll donate it to GOODWILL & buy a clock that's lit at night like I wanted!!!!!!!!

Now here is an example of a product that is eminently practical, fulfilling everything that you ask of it and more. A clock is a clock is a clock, right? But think of the variety of them, from giant grandfather clocks to tiny watches. This one is a little more expensive than some of the others available on Amazon, but in a small face it not only provides the time–hour and seconds–it gives you the date, day of the week, and indoor temperature. (Where was it when they took the picture? Someplace really hot!) If used on a nightstand, you can press a button to see the numbers illuminated. If used on a desk, it is cleanly designed, has a very small footprint and is inconspicuous. But there are other uses for clocks, like the bathroom. This model fits into a corner of the sink, is not decorative but blends into the background because of its minimalist style, and provides useful information when getting ready for the day. Wouldn't this be a good clock for a teenager's bathroom, to remind him or her that life awaits, a small price to pay for a more efficient morning? Or for someone older who has memory difficulties, to help keep track of both time and date, which can be a problem for those with age-related confusion. And a big plus in my book is that it is an atomic clock, which means no work when the time changes. The clock adjusts itself! If you need a clock with numbers that stay lit all night (no buttons to push), see my review elsewhere of the Sylvania Jumbo Digit Dual Alarm clock radio.

I wanted a small atomic clock with an indoor temp reader. There are a lot of small atomic clocks, but most lack the indoor temp, or also have the outdoor temp, which I do not want. I started with a Seiko advanced technology travel clock, which looked perfect when it arrived. Nice quality. Unfortunately the clock never set, even though it appeared to be receiving the signal adequately. After talking with Seiko and the seller, Princeton Watches, it went back and I ordered this. This is my second Ken-tech, and the first one still works fine. This one updated in about 5 min, and that was in the daytime which is rare, because I am quite far from the signal. The on-demand light illuminates the whole screen well. It takes two AA batteries, so no running around for those odd size button ones. It does not come with batteries, so be prepared. Not as attractive as the Seiko, but the build appears solid, it works, and was half the price.

I love this clock! This is the second one I have purchased and I have been very happy with both. It is so easy--just set it (read the instructions first)--and then leave it alone. I wanted a clock that keeps accurate time without having to reset it, so that meant finding an Atomic clock. I also wanted one that has no back lighting or lighted numbers until I want to see it lit up--like in the middle of the night. This clock is easy to read and lights up in the dark by touching the top bar. It is exactly what I was looking for.
