Maybe it cut down on flies but I still had flies unfortunately. I had to add stinky traps to assist with the population. I live in a hot dry desert.

This is the best feed fly control product on the market. I breed and train horses and this is a brand I trust for its quality ingredients. The only product I trust as safe for my pregnant mares. It may cost a little more but your horse is worth it!

I have a mare I rescued that has really bad fly allergies. I spoke to a vet and he highly recommended this product over Simplify, which wasn't working this year. I gave it to all four horses, and after 30 days, WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE! It's a bit pricey for four horses (about 90/mo), but WELL WORTH IT. It won't work if your horses are around cows, and if your animals are sharing a pasture, you have to feed it all.

Been using this brand for years. Does an amazing job. Flies driving u and animals crazy. Feed this everyday and they’ll be gone in a couple weeks as soon as the existing ones dye no new flies. No fly spray horse face masks nothing. This works great but if you have more than one horse must feed them all everyday of this. If you board at a stable if have neighbors with horses they’ll all need this fed to them every day flies mature in manure so if there is manure around they’ll appear from untreated manure

We started using Solitude 2 summers ago upon the recommendation of our veterinarian. We have 2 horses and have used sticky traps, chemicals and the fly predators to no avail. By contrast, having started Solitude with the horses' feed in early spring, there was a dramatic reduction in the fly population in the barn. We still see some flies, but for the most part they are unable to fly (immature) and the horses are much happier. The price may seem high, but when we added up the amount of sticky traps and chemicals we were using previously, Solitude is quite cost effective. And definitely less expensive than the predators which seemed to have no effect on the population even when used as directed.

I have been using this product along with an automatic barn sprayer for years. I have multiple "barns" in my neighborhood that are less than nice so flies have always been a concern. This combination keeps my horses fly free and happy. I wish it was cheaper, but I tried switching to another brand that I thought was just as good but cost a little less and we were inundated with flies!! It was horrible!! I immediately bought more Solitude and within about 2 weeks we were heading back to fly free. WORTH EVERY PENNY

These do the job for us. We have 3 ponies and keep a manure pile not too far from the house, next to our barn. We don't have a fly problem, period. Easy to use, we had a pony who had lost one kidney and was working with a damaged second kidney and our vet checked with the manufacturer and was told these would not hurt her and it didn't. She lived well for 4 years at least using this product, without a problem. So, safe, effective, a little spendy, but I keep buying them. I suppose it's worth it, because it works and I keep any exdtra sealed up over the winter time. So, maybe not so spendy after all! I'd recommend this product to anyone. We do live withing a few miles of a cattle farm, but still don't have a fly problem, so it's all good!
