It’s good, would be nice if the bottom did not come somewhere to stick the product. I’d rather have the bottom be some kind of material where I can continuously move it and the grip will be there.

Quickly and gently cleans tips perfectly. Base is heavy, sturdy, and filled with a generous amount of brass wool.

Wow, after 30 years of soldering I found something different. Works great and no more sponge. Exercise caution when emptying. I've dumped a pile of tiny solder blobs a couple times hot thinking

Apart from the basic brass wool which does its job well, the product I received does not have the adhesive bottom plate.

My home lab is annoyingly far from water, and I hated having to wet my soldering sponge every time I start a session (which has increased quite a bit recently). This allows me to clean the tip of my soldering iron quickly and easily without any kind of water, and bits of solder that comes off the iron falls in the container and the bottom cover pops off so you can shake it out every so often. should last forever and seems very high quality. Further, when I use my portable soldering iron solution (a pinecil powered with usb battery), I find this tip cleaner doubles as a fantastic heat sink for cooling my hot iron down quickly when I'm done using it so i can more quickly store it safely. it's got an all-metal housing that I'm not going to break, and it or melt through it, comes with a foam rubber pad for the bottom that I've applied to keep the thing from sliding all over my work surface. it's everything I've ever wanted in a tip cleaner! it also seems to match the dimensions of other popular models that are significantly more expensive so it should fit and integrate into various other compact soldering station organizer solutions (there are quite a few options I've been looking at that can be 3d printed, but there are some that are ready made and available elsewhere as well). I very strongly recommend this product! It's well designed, simple, easy, very affordable, and practically indestructible if used as intended. Doesn't get better than that.
