So far it is a very good tool . It heats up extremely fast between 10-15 seconds it's ready. The digital display is nice all though it definitely does not get ad hot as it says. But I have yet ran into a problem where it couldn't melt what I needed it to. Cord is alittle short but works well and all the extras it comes with is nice .

Terrible, don't buy. I used it to solder wires for car repair, and it didn't work. The solder was really bad quality and the resin didn't work. The solder keep clumping up and would not stick on the wires. Made the repair impossible. Would not buy again.

This soldering iron is exactly as described, with good temperature controls an assortment of tips for many different types of soldering jobs. The iron heats up extremely quickly and is easy to wield. There is a silicone boot on the handle that shows you exactly where to hold it. The tips come polished and solder adheres very well, and will work well as long as you properly maintain the tips. I didn't know what actually goes into keeping the tips from oxidizing. The irons must be used while hot, and should be cooled down when not in use, or the tips will oxidize quickly and solder will no longer stick. This happened to me before I knew how to properly care for the tips. Invest in some brass or copper wool, or some tip tinner. The tips I used required maintenance after my first soldering job because I let them stay hot for too long, and the solder stopped sticking before my job was finished. I cleaned the tips and re-tinned them and then I could complete my work. The iron came with flux, solder, a desoldering tool (it's actually half decent) and a nice pair of pliers to hold wires or parts while soldering. All in all this iron is a great value for the cost and suits the needs of occasional soldering work very well.

Let me preface this review by saying that I am a complete novice when it comes to soldering. I have watched a few videos and read some instructions. I had a project that required soldering, so I decided to jump in and give it a try. This kit worked perfectly for my needs. The controls were easy to figure out and easy to use. I was comfortable using it (again - having nothing to compare to, but I would assume it's a good size) and I ran into no issues. I'm happy with this item and I would have no hesitations to use it again.

I love this welder. Controlling the temp is a must for anyone who fixes there own electronics. I took one star away because the flux paste was dry and hard making it unusable Comes with plenty of different tips and easy to remove and install.

This 80W soldering iron kit cost $16 so it's not a good deal. There are several issues with the soldering iron. The tip seem a little angled (I have not tried other tips yet.) The power cord is stiff and the 2-prong plug doesn't stay in the power socket (maybe it's too thin.) After testing for 15 min, the LCD started to get dark on the right half (probably due to heat or it's defective.) The iron will go to sleep around 3 mins (but the instruction doesn't mentioned this.) The 3 rubber buttons are so cheap and poorly designed that it's mounted crooked. You have to really wait when long press to get the - and + to change continuously. Usually for safety reason, you should long pressed the power button to turn on; but this design has it short pressed (why?) You long pressed the power button to switch between C and F.
