Before I purchased this induction rod - I had a 500 ft lb impact on these nuts and they would not budge - tried a propane torch - useless as it took forever to get hot. The first attempt using this tool and 2 of the 3 nuts came right off. Unfortunately the 3rd on snapped the stud ;-( It happens I suppose. This tool worked very well and super heated the nuts as advertised. Would recommend to anyone. Side Note - the instruction say to hold the button for 2-3 secs - that may be a typo as its more like 20-30 seconds. A few iterations of that and the nut should come right off - but this was used on hardened stainless exhaust hardware - so that may be the difference.

Replacing a lower control arm on a Subaru (known for rust) and could not get the knuckle bolt out holding the ball joint in. Tried solvents, heat, hammer, breaker bar and 1000 ftlb impact w no luck (glad I didn't break the bolt). Used this unit and heated the bolt to red hot (about 45 secs). Used a 250 ftlb impact and the bolt came right out. Ridiculously effective - saved the day - I'm a believer!!!

I think my MAPP gas torch was jealous and feeling neglected ever since I got this. I used this thing to make numerous garage tasks easier, outer tie rods on my car were a breeze because the induction heater literally liquified the nylon lock in my factory Stud nuts, and they turned off so easy. It is great not having flames to worry about lighting fuel or oil. I used it about a dozen times and was just about to make some repalcement coils when one day I was counting on it to do its magic and it failed and lsot all power, I was devastated and grabbed my torch to go old school. I had been using it occasioanly for about 10 months and was debating if I would buy another one out of pocket (I probably would have) but I sent a message to the seller (Solary) with the concern and they asked for a video of the malfunction which I sent them and they promptly shipped a new unit that works just fine so the support from the manufacture is great. Can I probasbly get something a little hotter with the torch - yes maybe a little bit, but the open flame is such a liability I'll reach for this an an extension cord to power it every time. I was getting spoiled by not needing air lines for the impact (now cordless) etc so the only drawback is having to drag out an extension cord for power which I have rarely ever needed to do in the past but it is a welcome change until they make these cordless and still 1000W :-)

Works great when it works, used it one time then the second time I tried it you have to wiggle the cord and hold it a certain way to make it come on.Third time I used it it just shut off and will not come back on. Junk don't waste your money, great concept just try a different brand
