The fan is pretty quiet, not silent and definitely not loud. Smaller in dimensions than the in wall fan I took out, so I had to patch and paint wall. No matter tho. It looks good, gives great heat and was easy to install.

We bought this to replace a similar heater with the digital thermostat that the heat adjustment button broke. This heater is much simpler to operate. Turn the knob up to start receiving heat, and turn it down to shut it off. When you turn the knob the heat is instant and quickly warms the room (in our case, the bathroom). While I can't tell what the temperature is, the built in thermostat turns the unit off when the temperature reaches that temp. It starts if back up when the temp falls below the built in thermostat. Installation was simple for us as we already had wiring for the previous heater. So far, this is perfect for us. We highly recommend it.

Ya know...I'm willing to accept half the blame for this particular mistake. But in my defense, it could be argued that I was set up. 🤨Case in point... I wanted to install an electric heater in our bathroom. Not a complicated project as far as projects go and have many under my proverbial belt. Went on Amazon and picked out a Cadet heater. This brand, if not this exact unit, is also offered at Home Depot so it's not like it's TOTALLY cheap scrap. At the time that I ordered it, I was still bouncing between mounting it on the wall or possibly the ceiling. Looking at the company's website, and as indicated by the screen shot shown, I could do either with the heater I ordered. Nice to have that apparent option.I ended up installing it in the ceiling. I installed a dual pole thermostat on the wall, set the thermostat on the unit itself to high, and fired it up.About two minutes into running, the over heat protection kicked in, shutting it down. Hummm... THAT'S not a good thing. 🤔Well, when all else fails, read the instructions. 😏Soooo... Contrary to their statement of "ALL" 1500w heaters can be ceiling mounted, the ones with built-in thermostats are "not recommended" to do such. Got me there guys. 😣I will be calling them on Monday to see what we can do about this. Again, I'm willing to accept half the blame, but I'm curious as to what THEY are willing to do. At the same time, I will be inquiring as to exactly what the difference is between the models that have a thermostat or don't. I am a tad concerned that the over heat protection is kicking in. If the only difference between the two is the lack of an internal thermostat (which I can physically remove on THIS one), then that won't really solve the problem. The over heat protection should NOT be engaging. Period. To be continued...

it's small and cheap, probably 100's less than other brands. however, hookup was easy as the existing wires were already in place. the unit puts out plenty of quick heat. no vents to hookup either. this heater was a third the size of the old heater, so I had to do some quick framing and drywall repair. i guess the new heaters don't need to be as big as the old ones...

This keeps my 10 x 15 office plenty warm. The thermostat does a nice job keeping the room at an even temperature.

We have a home that had a heating unit in each room. We replaced the old unit with this heater. Easy to use, very quiet, & the unit fits in the vacancy left by the previous heater. Heats the room well.

I replaced an old Intertherm 1000 watt 240 volt wall heater with a new Cadet CSC102TW 1000 watt 240 volt wall heater (made in the USA) and I’m very impressed with its performance. The volume of heat output is very strong. I used a digital thermometer to monitor the temperature in a bedroom where the unit is installed and found the temperature in the room quickly reached, and the thermostat easily maintained, the desired 70 degrees. The fan is very powerful and fairly quiet. Installation was simple and the instructions (both installation and operating) are easily understood. I would recommend the Cadet CSC102TW wall heater to my friends and plan to buy more.I would offer three possible causes to those buyers that have underperforming Cadet CSC102TW wall heaters: incorrect operating voltage (this model is designed to run on 240 volts), a defective heating element and a defective.

Switched over to 2 of these units from conventional baseboard heaters and there is a positive significant difference. The heat produced is immediate and widely dispersed with the fan. I added a wall thermostat so the room temperature maintains a more consistent level and the heat is on less time then the baseboard heater. Sound level is not much louder than a forced air furnace. I love these units for the small footprint and recessed installation. Highly recommended.

I would have given a 5 star except that the first one I ordered self-destructed upon the first application of current - closer inspection revealed that the heater arrived with one of it's two coil heating banks broken in the middle forming a "V" which was in contact with the other heating bank causing an immediate short circuit which fried the coils on both rows. The fan continued to work however. So one star off for letting a broken product out the doors.Amazon Customer Service was amazing and I had another one within two days. This one (well-inspected by myself) worked very well and continues to do so. It is sturdily constructed as well. I would recommend this heater to anyone needing a fast way to heat up a medium sized space.
