This is a really nice light that works great. The center Edison-style bulb is mostly an aesthetic choice, I'm thinking, because the majority of the light is coming from the panel lights. I put this light in our shed, which doesn't have any electricity running to it as it is not connected to the house or garage. I think this light would be great for a gazebo or pergola - something I have been wanting to install on our back decking. It has a remote control and a motion sensor, both of which work great. What I like about it: I LOVE that it is solar! It was super easy to install because it has a 10ft cord running from the solar panel to the fixture. My shed is Amish-built and has overlapping beams with a slightly peaked roof and there is openings between the roof and the walls. This made it super easy for me to install. The light is very bright once you get it fully charged and adjust the panels. It has warm and white light choices, and it looks nicer than most of these type of lights. Based on my experience with other solar lighting, if you can give it a full day or two in the sun, those cloudy days won't make much of a dent in the battery. The light and all of the parts appear to be high quality and durable. This light is supposed to be able to withstand weather, but I haven't tested it in that way so I can't speak to that aspect. I don't need it to be outside, so that isn't an issue for me.Things to keep in mind: It is solar, so it's going to be dependent on the sunlight. That has been a problem for me because I live in the Mid-west and we've had a lot of clouds and snow this winter. In order for the panel to get the maximum amount of sunlight, it needs to be positioned facing south and tilted slightly upward, with nothing blocking it. You want at least 6 solid hours of sunlight.Installing might be a problem if your space doesn't have easy access to outside for the solar panel, so think about how you are going to get that cable attached. Also, to maximize the light in your space, those light panels need to be angled outward. Straight up and down means most of the light will be at the top of the room and not very much, but if it's a small room, this might work for you.So overall, I would recommend it based on my own personal experience. It works great, build quality is great, and actually it's perfect for my needs. I will try to get some pictures when the weather is more cooperative and post updates.

This solar powered/charged light is quite unusual. The four pivoting light panels on it's periphery look pretty standard, the color temperature is ~6000k and they are quite bright. The 'oddball' is the E26 socketed 'filament style' bulb in the very center. It looks pretty and has a decent esthetic, but really doesn't emit that much light - maybe 150 lumens. The four segments of LEDs to the contrary are NOT dim at all. In fact, when aimed at ~40° in reference to the ground, this light fixture illuminates an area about 100' x 100' quite decently. The tiny solar panel actually does charge this light fixture fully - even with the short daylight hours of our winter season. I've even had this fixture work after an overcast/rainy day, when I know for sure it received very minimal (if any) sunlight. The functions of the remote allow 5 different actions for motion detection and operation. We use mode 2 - always off unless motion is detected, then on for 20 seconds at full brightness. It works amazingly well!Of course, you can use the light during the daytime if desired by pushing the 'on' button if desired. The color temperature selection button does it's task by turning in either the LED (white light) panels, the Edison style (yellow light) bulb - or both at the same time.As said before, this fixture has no problem keeping it's charge all night. For the past 3 weeks, it's been working great until sunrise, due to the lighting effect I have chosen. For such a small solar panel (about 7" square) it sure does manage to charge the internal batteries effectively! The motion detection function is very good as well. I don't get a lot of 'false triggers' from objects blowing in the wind. My other motion lights do have such a problem & it's very annoying...luckily this lamp has a more selective motion detector.I can attest that this fixture is waterproof when hung by it's metal hook loop. Three days of rain fell directly on the fixture and there is no evidence of condensation inside any of the LED/bulb housings. The cord to the panel is ~10' long, so positioning the panel properly to be in the sun works out great.Overall, a very nice outdoor lamp! I have no electricity in our garage so this device is lighting my pathway at night. I can actually see where I'm going and see the surrounding area very well. I'm loving it.Two thumbs up!

First this is not the intended use for this light, instead it is being placed in a greenhouse we will build this summer. Summer is months away and I thought it would be important to make sure this solar light would address my needs of late night lighting for my greenhouse. I have taken multiple pictures of how this solar light performs. The picture of the door with shutters is with regular electrical lights on. The picture of the door with shutters open is light emitted from this solar light. I'm impressed! This room is pitch black when the light are off. This solar light projects a lot of light. My floor is well lit from this solar light. I'm confident I will not have to worry about tripping on something when walking. Also, sufficient light is available to be able to read if needed. It has been winter weather forever in PA this year, so sunshine has been minimal. The solar light pad was still able to absorb enough sunlight to allow the light to work for hours. The solar pad is encased in metal which I feel is better than plastic since the pad will be continually exposed to weather conditions. This solar light has exceeded my expectations as far as performance of light emitted and the convenience of a remote control.

The lighting you create is excellent for any area that is not very open

First off this light isn’t huge but it’s pretty bright. The Edison bulb doesn’t provide much light but looks nice the led lights get the job done. I like that it has different light brightness settings. You can set it to motion or simply use the remote. I installed it in my shed and was a bit nervous based off of other brightness reviews. My shed is roughly 16x16 and at night it’s bright enough to see to find something. It is all plastic so don’t expect any thing crazy.
