This worked well for safely shutting off solar panels when working on the inverter or disconnecting the wiring. The price for this is very good compared to other options and the build quality is solid.

I got this when I didn't know anything whatsoever about solar, and someone who knew what he was talking about said "get rid of that "chinese firebox" (his words, not mine) "and get an IMO". (IMO is a brand that makes disconnect switches). After a little research I've determined he was absolutely right. If you're going to go running hundreds of volts through a switch, you definitely want (NEED) it to be UL listed, or ETL-listed, or TUV-listed, or CSA-listed. A Nationally Recognized Testing Lab has to put it through its paces and certify it before you should let it anywhere near your house. (Note: that goes for ANY electrical device, not just this product!)The IMO brand switches are expensive (comparatively) at $80+, but they're way way way cheaper than a housefire would be. I'm sure there are other fine switches out there too; I only point out the IMO brand because they have some great educational material on why their switches are safe and why some others aren't, and for a quick example just look at the video the guy posted in the other one-star review! A DC cutoff switch needs to act instantaneously to avoid DC arcing. Less-expensive, non-listed cutoff switches typically use the speed of your hand turning the switch to disconnect, and if you're not fast enough that gives the DC energy an opportunity to arc across the contacts and create a spark or worse, and when you're talking about hundreds and hundreds of volts, it quickly can become dangerous.My advice: Don't cheap out on electrical stuff. Ever. Get the good stuff, forget the cheap stuff. I generally like finding amazing cheap chinese products that work better than I ever expected they would, but when it comes to something handling hundreds of volts of electricity, I find it unimaginable that anyone would be considering using something like this instead of a properly-engineered, properly-built switch that's designed specifically and professionally for the job that needs doing, and has been put through proper testing by an independent qualified lab such as the nationally-recognized NRTL's.If you need another reason, consider this: if your house does catch fire due to use of an unlisted product, your insurance company likely won't pay you a dime. If they can trace the source of the fire to use of an unlisted product, you can expect that they will void your claim. No savings on an a cheap product is worth that! When it comes to electrical stuff in the USA, you should only ever use NRTL-tested and NRTL-listed products.

Der Solartrennschalter ist in einer sehr stabilen Dose verbaut und die Anschlüsse sitzen fest. Als Kabel kommt nur 4mm2 Solarkabel zum Einsatz, bei einem 32A Leitungsschutzschalter hätte ich persönlich mindestens 6mm2 erwartet. Hat man parallel geschaltet Solarmodule im Einsatz die bis zu 30A liefern, sollte man besser die Verkabelung wechseln, was bei dem knappen Platz nicht einfach ist.Zum Glück werden kleine Befestigungshalter mitgeliefert, die man an der Rückseite anschraubt, so dass man die LS Schalter nicht zur Befestigung auseinander nehmen muss.Einsetzen würde ich diesen Schalter nur in einem 15A String.

I've got this inline on my boat between the solar panels and the solar charger. It makes it easy to take the solar panels off line when I need to work on the solor chargers or the batteries.

For the price, pretty sweet. Works fine. Came with all kinds of "extras" in the box. Extra MC4 connectors, an MC4 tool, wall mount thingers, and a worthless paper description sheet1) When mounting to a 4x4 post, had to drill two holes in the back plastic2) After mounting, the cover plate screws in with two screws and does not sandwich up flat (slight gap). Wish it had four screws.3) For $20 -- pretty good. Most will likely use it as a switch vs circuit breaker4) 12 AWG marine grade wires -- nice.5) Appears to be weather tight construction

This works to serve its purpose, but it took a lot of struggling to get the wires to fit properly. The whole wires go into do not lineup properly with the terminals where they attach on the inside, so thicker wires are going to be very difficult to install. I did make it work though and it’s serving its purpose.

Für mein DIY-PV Projekt habe ich diesen PV-Schutzschalter von CNLonQcom bestellt, welcher schnell und gut verpackt geliefert worden ist.Mit im Lieferumfang sind noch Schrauben und Dübel für die Wandbefestigung, sowie 4 Aderendhülsen. Die beigelegte knappe Anleitung ist auf englisch. Die Ausführung im Netz (Bild) ist nicht 100% korrekt. Allerdings ist es nicht wirklich problematisch, da man hier eigentlich schon wissen sollte, was man macht.Grundsätzlich macht dieses Produkt einen guten und soliden Eindruck. Das Material ist robust und ist wohl auch durchaus für den Außenbereich geeignet, auch wenn ich persönlich es nicht dem direktem Regen aussetzen würde.Damit hier 2 Adern durch eine Öffnung durchgeführt werden können und das ganze auch noch dicht bleibt, hat sich der Hersteller einen Dichtungsring mit 2 Bohrungen einfallen lassen. Das funktioniert mit bis zu 6mm². Wie dicht es aber bei 4mm² Kabel ist, ist fraglich.Der Sicherungsautomat selbst ist auf einer kurzen Hutschiene angebracht und kann herausgelöst werden, was auch notwendig ist, seine Klemmen nicht direkt vor den Öffnungen sitzen und es somit eigentlich nicht möglich ist das 6mm² Kabel direkt an zu schließen.Auch ist es so, dass Ganze erst mal verdrahtet ist und man den Schalter auf "Go" stellt sich dann der Deckeln nicht mehr 100% sauber schließen lässt. Hier muss ich schon gut nachdrücken damit dieser zu bleibt.Ist der Schalter auf "unterbrechen" dann gibt es das Problem nicht.Mein Fazit:Der Schalter ist zwar nicht perfekt (präzise) aber solide und erfüllt seinen Zweck letztendlich gut.Somit vergebe ich hier gute 4 von 5 Punkten in der Gesamtwertung.

Ich habe diesen Sicherungskasten mit Automaten zum Testen bekommen. Das beeinflusst aber nicht die Bewertung. Ich teste auch nur Dinge für meinen Eigenbedarf. Somit auch nur das, was ich tatsächlich benötige!Es wird geliefert- Kleiner Sicherungskasten mit Doppelautomat- 4 Aderendhülsen zum aufquetschen 6mm2- 2 Schrauben + 2 Dübel- Beschreibung in EnglischDer Doppelautomat ist speziell für Photovoltaik, hiermit kann man eine einzelne Platte sozusagen für Wartung abschalten. Der Kasten ist IP65 sollte also nicht im direkten Regen hängen.Solarkabel bis 6mm2 sind nutzbar.Preislich voll im Preis, die Qualität kann man leider erst mit der Zeit beurteilen. Die Verarbeitung ist OKDaumen hoch. Vielen Dank fürs Lesen

I setup a small array on my roof and this is a great shut off switch for it. The quality is great and it works well.
