This component is oversized for what it needs to do. Check the dimensions, it’s big. Not exactly convenient to mount as the case is poorly designed for a simple screw or bolt on connection. But I really love it. It’s a big loud on / off switch that leaves no doubt where it is set. Easy solar mc4 connections, and came with extra connectors = bonus.

I have gotten to where I install quite a few of these. The mechanism inside appears to be pretty decent. There is a lock that won't let the switch be in the on position with the cover off but that is easy as 4 screws to remove. It comes with a hodgepodge of unnecessary components that fit really neatly in an old cashew container....or 2. Out of about a dozen so far, I have only ever had one with a bad terminal that wouldn't work but I am only using 2 of the four so that was no deal breaker. All in all... it will work until something better comes along. I am using it on a dc circuit between 30 and 300 volts DC.

This worked very well for my mobile solar installation. I'd buy it again. I do believe it's watertight. Which can be extremely important when regularly working at around 78 volts raw output from series-wired panels.

The switch works as advertised. I caution you not to abuse it, because it is made of plastic, and feels like it will break if you use forcefully turn the dial too many times. I am not saying that this is fragile, but it's not as durable as if it were made of some type of metal. I have seen photos of broken dials, and I think the user may have just turned the dial with too much force.BTW, I am using this switch on a power station that I use nearly daily, and cut it on/off every day, using this switch. The switch has held up well, and does it's job. Just be mindful of its specs and parameters, so as you do not exceed the 30A or 1200V capacity. I can't comment on its weather protection rating, because my switch is not exposed to external weather.

The handle is attached via a hollow plastic shaft which snapped upon the second actuation. It did not take much force. As a safety device, this product should not be used by anyone.

Bought these to cut off power coming from each string of our solar panels. Now installing a 5th string and going back to this for it based on the others working so well. Quality construction, sturdily built.

The unit seems like good quality. The plastic case seems very sturdy and switch seems well made and properly terminated with 2 series poles used on each leg = 4 poles total for the disconnect - this should withstand at least 1000V. The lockout will not allow a typical lock but only a mini lock or zip tie.

Well made switch but too large for my use. Returned it and replaced with breaker.
