We are a camping family and a lot of times, we go primitive camping. And where we go is black bear country. So I wanted somthing to alert us at night if something comes close to camp! We have three German Shepherds and a family that I need to protect! When I saw this, I thought I'd give it a try! It works perfectly! The motion detector works perfectly and has quite a large range as well! Has multiple sounds that it switches between. What I think needs improvement is the lack of ability to control functions compared to my other one from a different company. That one you can pick and choose the sounds that you want. This one has multiple sounds but can't figure out how to pick the one you want. It seems to automatically cycle through all the various sounds on it's own as it's going off. Also my other one has a remote, this one does not. And this lacks the ability to record your own sounds. Also, this does not have the ability to raise or lower the alarm sound, as my others do. If you are looking for just a basic motion detection alarm, this would work. But you lact the ability to control the features.

I hoped this would work to scare rabbits off my lawn. It does not work well for rabbits. They are too small for the sensor to detect if further than two or three feet from the sensor. Oh well... I saw work to scare off a raccoon.The item charges well in the sun and detect large enough animals with consistency.There is no way to turn off the red and blue flashing lights. It would be nice to have that option.The "ultrasonic" is audible to most human ears.The 129dB loud siren alarm is very effective when combined with the red an blue flashing lights to deter a prowler.
