As long as you get the feet positioned right in the center, you will protect your floors with these. What you have to watch though is if you try to "slide" your furniture around on them, the feet can slide on these pads and come off, or go to the corner of the pad and make things difficult.

I'm really happy with these. I've included pictures of one of the ones that has been under my couch for a few years. I'm really impressed with the durability of these. The couches are really easy to move on my hard floors. The work as intended, and stay on the furniture legs when moving then. Would definitely buy again if needed. I have them under my couch and loveseat, and they're all still working as they should.
