I used these for replacing shutter hardware that were broken at some point, and bats got behind them. I removed the bats and put the new hardware in place. If there's a fault, I think it would be not taking paint as they are plastic and prone to paint peeling.

We’ve used these before when the house was painted and the shutters pulled and re-installed. We were down to the last few and had a repair made and then there were none. Good to have back ups. Easy to use.
