I bought this to use with our SodaStream and a 5-lb tank. I did the math and decided that the savings from buying a 10-lb vs 5-lb tank is not worth having an uglier tank, and got a very pretty 5-lb tank that looks nice on the kitchen counter.Back to this adaptor. Based on the unit freezing issues others have shared, we leave the tank closed and open it only to carbonize. This means we: 1) Attach the water bottle to SodaStream, 2) open the tank (turn the knob to the left), 3) pump twice lightly, 4) close the tank (turn the knob to the right), and 5) pump 2-3 times more until the remaining CO2 is released into the water.Zero issue, and very happy with the setup.

This works as described. I was hesitant in purchasing this because of some of the reports of leaks. The one I got does not leak. To test for leaks turn off your air tank at the valve on the tank and wait overnight. If there is still pressure in your lines in the morning then your system is not leaking. Leaks can occur anywhere not just in the lines and connectors. I close the valve on my tank anyways after use just ti be safe.

So I bought a sodastream e duo bc i kicked the mainstream soda habit after a lifetime of drinking them. Then went to clearly canadian, but my god they are expensive! The gas cylinder replacements are really expensive, but i found you can get food grade co2 in a bigger bottle like they have in restaurants, but needed an adapter. Well, this is your adapter. It hooks up easily. It works smoothly, gives the right amount of co2 for any of the preset amount buttons you choose to make your drink as bubbly as you want.

I hooked up my soda stream to a 20lb CO2 tank I got from my local weld shop. Works great, definitely saving some money on refills. Probably only worth it if you drink like a *lot* if sparkling water, which my my house does.

I hid the bottle it's connected to in a twelve pack can box on the shelf below. This hose will make any soda stream even cheaper.

I’m very perplexed at all the reviews that say this plugs right in and works great. We have a Soda Stream Art, so theoretically it should work. There is literally no pressure that goes into our cold bottle of water. Tried a new 5lb CO2 tank, tried new washers, nothing. We can hold down our lever on the Art and nothing even after 10 seconds. Will be returning. This is JUNK.

Honestly I’m on my first rank of co2, so it could just be the bottle. On initial hookup, the threads would bottom out and it would audibly leak from the bottle connection. I put on loads of ptfe plumbers tape and it seems to have sealed. Minor inconvenience.
