A Freeze your CO2 bottle for a few hours before refilling. Every time you stick a bottle into the fill neck lubricate the o-rings by simply dipping your finger in olive oil and run it around the perimeter and then gently insert the bottle. The little knob near the meter must be fully open and NOT aligned with the pin holes in the Soda Stream. Thighten it before you open the main valve. AND after the main valve is closed, release this valve you you'll blow gaskets. Release it until you hear no more gas being released before removing the bottle. Gently extract the bottle and you will not have to be replacing o-rings.

This thing has been absolutely flawless but take a couple precautions and Make sure you freeze your CO2 bottle for at least one day before refilling. You won't regret that decision and you will get full CO2 tank results from that. Also every time you stick a bottle into the fill neck lubricate the o-rings by simply dipping your finger in olive oil and run it around the perimeter and then gently insert the bottle and gently extract the bottle and you will not have to be replacing o-rings. If you don't do that you will be replacing o-rings but I have not had to in over 25 fills. If you do a YouTube video search on this product you will probably find my review. Many other people have already benefited and commented on it. I put a lot of detail in how to use this item into that video so you won't be disappointed. You can either search for it generically or My channel is called " And Todays Project Is". You're welcome in advance. I absolutely am addicted to unflavored carbonated soda water using the SodaStream. It has completely changed my drinking habits for alcohol by reducing my desire to even drink beer. I just grabbed for a carbonated on flavored water instead happily.

I bought a 20lb tank for CO2, and needed a way to transfer the CO2 to the SodaStream Terra tank. This adaptor with pressure gauge works just fine. It's nicely made and sturdy. However, the instructions on how to use it could have been much clearer.

I’ve had no issues. I followed the instructions and had ongoing success. This really helps my pocketbook. We drink a lot of sparkling water, and the refills were really putting a dent in our budget. Investing in a co2 tank and this little gadget will pay for themselves within 6 months.

I got this to refill the quick connect sodastream CO2 tanks from a 10 lb tank. Works just as shown in the video. Easy to figure out.

This is a great adapter that works effectively. However, one must exercise caution when tightening the connector (to source tank) in order to avoid denting the edges (of hex connector). This is likely due to the soft metal used in manufacturing (aluminum perhaps?, not certain). Regardless, no leaks, very easy to install & use. This device combined with a 10lb tank of CO2 has already paid for itself vs Sodastream CO2 exchange(s).

I use this to refill pink Sodastream cannisters from a 5lb CO2 tank. The important thing to know is that you want to transfer the liquified CO2, not just the gas, so unless you have a dip tube / siphon in your big tank, you need to turn the whole thing upside down when filling so the liquid can run out rather than just the gas. This can be a bit awkward (and potentially against the manufacturer's specifications for your big tank's valve), but it works. It works especially well if you put the Sodastream cannister in the freezer for an hour ahead of time. It's a little tricky to know when to stop filling, and you're warned against overfilling, but I'm not sure that's actually possible given the physics at hand. I just start very slow (to avoid triggering a safety shutoff on the little cannister) and fill until it the sound of flowing CO2 quiets down. I also wear gloves just in case (liquified CO2 can give you frostbite).

Unfortunately, I can not get this refill adapter for the new styleSodaStream bottles to work despite having made multiple attempts, including changing out the O-rings.Even if it did work to fill the bottles, the design could be better: The bottle is just hanging off the adapter piece that screws straight into the FIll Gas Cylinder. A fill whip would let you support the cartridge, and you want a needle valve or, at the very least, a ball valve to control the flow as you're filling.
