In recent years I have developed an affinity for sleeping cool. I recently got a smaller one of these blankets from a different company, and love it! So I was excited to see this larger one available.There was no smell upon opening it.The fabric is a little heavier than the previous blanket I got. I like the lighter material, but this is still nice.This blanket isn't quite as cool as the previous one, but it may be that I felt the 90% cooling side first instead of the 100% cooling side. I currently switch back and forth with the blankets and am happy with both of them. They do warm up after a while, so I've even used one until the coolness wasn't as cool, then switched to the other blanket to start the cool over.This one is also a higher quality construction than my first one - I can tell it is going to last longer.It comes nicely packaged, perfect for a gift... just don't try it out first or you might not want to give it away =)It might seem pricey, but I've seen cooling blankets for double this price, and as well as this works, I think you'll like it just fine.Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful.

I ordered this in February when I wasn't likely to be needing a cooling comforter. We usually use a nice thick quilted duvet at this time of year so I wasn't expecting to be able to fully test it until next July or August. But...as it happened, we had a Santa Ana (hot winds) condition the other night and I woke up sweating. We had just gotten the Snuggle Sac so I got up and plopped it on the bed. Wow, it really makes a big difference. I finished the night in comfort. I'm really glad I had it on hand.Something that is worth knowing if you get this. It comes vacuum sealed for shipping. Because of this, there will be an odor and there will be a lot of wrinkling. Neither is a permanent condition. There is a card that comes with it that suggests airing it out for a couple of days. I found that airing it out takes care of the odor but the wrinkles were still there. (Actually, I don't mind the wrinkles but I can understand that others might not like them.) So even better than airing is to go ahead and launder it per the instructions. (Yes, you can machine wash this comforter!) This will take care of the odor and the wrinkles. For storage, it folds up fairly compactly.

I got this blanket as my husband gets night sweats. I like the twin size as he has the blanket on his side of the bed and not on mine, sort of the Swedish method of bed making. He is finding the blanket to be very comfortable. He is warm but it has helped the night sweats. The twin size blanket is a light blue, and is satin on one side. It works well as a sofa blanket when watching TV as well as for its intended purpose on the bed. Happy with this blanket.

I love a good cooling blanket, and I've tried several of the smaller ones. When I saw this comes in a King, I was so there for it. It came beautifully packaged, vacuum packed, so very wrinkly, but I appreciate the care that was taken with it. As soon as I got it out of the bag (I always feature my vacuum packed textiles breathing a huge sigh of relief when they're released from the packaging - just me?), I shook it out, and was not at all surprised by the odor, though it wasn't as bad as some. I threw it in my washing machine, on delicate cycle; then dried it on medium low in my dryer. It took a couple of cycles to get it dry, but I have nowhere to hang anything this size, so I was patient. It came out very well - so I breathed my own sigh of relief. It is so silky soft! And very, very cool to the touch. There is a regular cooling side (the darker side), and an ultra cooling side (the lighter side). I will always sleep with the lighter side down, to keep me cool in our central Texas Summer. The blanket stays super cool for a long time, but is quite light weight, which is perfect for Summer. I will use it all year, maybe with the darker (warmer) side down through what passes for Winter here. If it gets too warm, a few minutes with my feet out of the covers takes care of it, and then it's blessedly cool again when I put them back under the blanket. I love just running my hands over the cool surface repeatedly. So, so nice. It is well made, and I like the decorative cording along the whole edge. If you suffer from feeling too warm at night, night sweats, pre-menopausal/menopausal symptoms, or are just a person who runs hot all the time, you will love this blanket. It helps me sleep so much better, with more time between wake-ups. I am glad they have reduced the price, at least for now. It is discounted to $139.99, as of this writing. That makes it quite a good value for a king sized comforter, especially one with such a specialty feature.

I LOVE the soft, lightweight, silky-smooth feel of this comforter against my skin! The Sage Green color is as it looks online, the stitching is professional, and it looks and feels like a quality product. It had a slight odor to it when it arrived, and I was anxious to see how it washed and dried, so I did that before the first use. I followed the directions and put it on the delicate cycle of both my washer and dryer. After two drying cycles on the delicate setting, it was still just a tad damp, so I laid it out for a while. I was afraid it would come out really wrinkly after being sealed so tight for shipping, but it wasn't wrinkly at all! Even though it's not summer yet I wanted to try it out last night to see how it felt. I wasn't sure what a "cooling" blanket feels like but thought it would be great in the summertime when I want just a tad more than the sheet. We have a high-quality quilt on our bed that provides almost too much warmth even in the winter, because we don't turn down the heat at night. I usually pull the quilt partly over in early AM when it feels a little chilly. So, I thought this might provide enough warmth to pull off the quilt entirely, but I ended up using both for part of the night. All I can say is, I'm so glad I got it, because it gives me a happy feeling when I cuddle up with this Snuggle Sac!
