Going in expecting cheap plastic, I was surprised to find that this is indeed a metal wand! The weight is all on the tip, as the crystal and surrounding metal details are the densest parts by far. The handle and other end are all hollow - not enough to make them seem weak (I can barely get it to bend if I try), but it definitely tips the balance right around the part where the large end connects to the pipe.It looks and feels nice, just like you'd hope! My only complaint is that the crystal is attached with super glue, rather messily in places. 2 out of 4 sides have dried superglue overflowing visibly between the two parts, and some parts where the glue has been spread onto the crystal entirely outside of the areas they were trying to attach, leaving a permanently 'dirty' look there. Shining a light into the crystal to examine where it seems to be glued on, there's not a lot of overall surface area attached in general. It doesn't seem loose to me, but if that's all they needed, the deeper parts easily could have gotten the glue instead of right at the edges where it leaks out visibly. Just a little lazy on the glue job, overall.
