Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She has made so many different types of drinks. It’s a little loud, but it crushes the ice very well.. favorite drink so far is crushed ice with syrup then a scoop of ice cream in the middle followed by crushed ice and syrup at the top. It’s an amazing drink. Definitely recommend everyone try it if you haven’t yet tried it..

One thing that I've seen from a few other reviews is that the machine "is messy." Basically, if you hold the cone cup closer to the shaved-ice chute and rotate it to even out the ice shavings, there is a little bit of ice shavings that escape around the base. If you allow the cone to stay in the holder and don't rotate it, you will have quite a mess of ice shavings all over the counter, especially around the base of the machine. This is a joy for me. I've always wanted a sno-cone maker, but the prices were too high. This is a great buy! The machine has no trouble shaving my large, bullet-shaped ice. There are suction cups under the base which prevents it from sliding and rocking. To clean: UNPLUG the machine first!! Using a soft, lint-free cloth, just give the exterior a quick wipe down. Take the lid off the bin where ice bullets or cubes are placed. Wipe the lid down as well. As for that compartment, use either a paper towel or soft, lint-free cloth, being very careful around the blade, and sop up the leftover water from the melted ice. You are done! Easy to use, easy to clean, and it's not a huge machine that'll take up a lot of your counter if you'd like to keep it there. If you'd rather put it away in a cabinet, it doesn't take up much space at all. If I had any "complaint", it would be this: PLEASE supervise children if they want to make a sno-cone themselves. Additionally, PLEASE unplug the machine before you clean the top ice bin. There is only one blade, but it is very sharp! That said, the lid is also how the machine is turned on and turned off. It cannot work if that clear top is off. That said, I will never trust any appliance with an open blade when it's plugged in. Take the extra 5 seconds and unplug it for your safety. I cannot say enough good about this product! It'd make a good grab-bag gift, especially in the Southern Hemisphere at Christmas time!

Here's the scoop, man...(pun intended. HA!)I've only used it once so far, but it worked like a champ. The worst thing about it is the ice makes a bit of a mess when crushing. I haven't tried putting a towel under it because of the suction cups on the bottom. Those little "suckers" are awesome. So I'm thinking that won't work, but I'll try it next time, and if it works, I'll Try to Remember to post it here.As for longevity, only time will tell.Take a chance... you just might be surprised just how well the kids & Adults enjoy it.Take care all. 😊
