No snake bites so far but they have done well on thorn that seem to be able to go through everything else.I wore them when it was 90+ degrees out and they weren’t all that hot and they breathed quite well. The only downside is that they are quite noisy in a crinkly paper sort of way so while they would be fine for something like bird hunting, I don’t think you would fair well using them for any type of hunting where you needed to be quite.

. These are very light weight snake gators and durable. I have used them on at least 5 hunts. Like all snake gators they are warm. In the pictures I used a small bungie cord to hold them down on my boots. Do not do this as I did the bungie started to ware a spot onto the turtle skin. I switched to a all leather shoelace. Works great. I hunt upland game birds and I spend about 8 hours in the field hunting with them on. So far they are very durable. Can’t say much about being snake proof yet and I hope I will never will have to test them. Great product they are worth every penny
