Just follow the instructions and you’ll have a super smoker box for the barbecue. Apple wood shavings and chips are my favorite.

The product works like it should after I repaired it. One is the brads that the top henges on came out. So I had to put a small screw in it.

The screws on the hinged door came off easily when opening which fell into the bottom of a HOT grill making it harder to open and refill during smoking process

Easy to use. Just soak the wood chips so they don't all burn up

Same as described but in the picture size was looking big and the real size is short. But over all good.

This is a simple steel box that holds wood chips to add smoke flavoring in your outdoor grill. I bought this to grill a turkey for thanksgiving based on a recipe for "The Best Grilled Turkey." I soaked and added a handful of hickory wood chips and a handful of cherry wood chips to the box and put it alongside the turkey's roasting pans inside of the gas grill. Three and a half hours later, with some basting, I had a perfectly roasted and smoked turkey. The wood chips in the box had turned into charcoal. The chips came out of the box easily, once I pried the cover open. In the first exposure to heat, the steel box warped enough to make opening the lid difficult. In the end, it's a steel box that holds wood chips.

I finally got to use this on my gas grill. With a fresh tank of Propane, the heat was near 500 degrees F. Clouds of Hickory smoke were emitted after doing its work flavoring my beef. My neighbors had to be jealous for the feast soon to be enjoyed.I did find that soaking wood chips just adds time to the process. Why water soak the wood chips only to have to dry the wood chips to get the smoke? Wood chips are cheap and easy to add with the swing lid on this stainless box.
