***Update - We did eventually receive our refund for this item.***Like many others, I only received (1) nail guard instead of the pack of 100 pieces like I ordered. Though, after processing the return they have still yet to refund my purchase after stating they had. Now I need to contact my card provider to get this sorted. This product is amazing and I will continue to use it for all of our residential builds but just don't order it through here. Get it elsewhere.

Well good and bad news. Received a full box of 100. Yeah. Went to order another box. The price increased by $28 in 3 days. Don't need them that bad.

I ordered a 100-pack but only received 1 guard (i.e.99 were missing). When I contacted amazon there were unable to provide a useful solution other than to return the 1 item for a refund. I liked the shields and think they are a great idea. But unfortunately due to the shipping error I am not a happy customer

Product is advertised as a 100 pack, however they only send 1 single piece, for 90$... ridiculous. Also good to note, the edges of the metal are not smoothed off and could rub and cut the sheath of the electrical cable, and finally they are not CSA approved for use in Canada. Can not recommend at all. Unfortunate as this product looked promising but cannot use them on my jobsites. This product/seller should really be pulled from Amazon's website, as it straight up lies about what you're getting.

This item fell far short of the description and was returned after a failed second attempt for a refund. The description listed 100 but that is NOT what arrived.Avoid this item.

Product itself is exactly as advertised…. Just what I needed, however, it is advertised as a package of 100 for $37.26. This would be a fair price for the product but it only came with one! That is a ridiculous price for one. Very disappointed. I am returning for my money back and going to order from Home Depot.

Easier than metal plates on both sides of an interior wall. Can even be installed after the wiring is run if the hole is 1 inch.

The product is made of thick metal and is easy to use. Drill a 1” hole thru the stud, insert the sleeve with the cutout facing down or up, and hammer it in.One star off because the box I received was open and missing three pieces.

You can install this after the fact as long as one side of the wall is open. Doesn’t even need to be the side closest to the wire or Pex pipe to work. Unlike a nail plate this allows you to nail drywall almost up to the cables in the wall and it protects against nail that try to come out the side of the of the stud. It also let’s you drywall without any bumps even if you don’t shim or plane the stud. If you can get your drywaller to quit filling your boxes with mud and primer, reward him by using these instead of plates.

As far as something so simple like this goes, it works great, just drill the hole the box says to drill and smack these guys in with a hammer and job done.My only gripe would be if they came in different sizes, I would love to protect the existing wire in my walls when I do work that brings down the sheetrock or drywall.. Sometimes the contractors just put the wire through the studs 1/2 an inch from the drywall, no idea how that passes code but it still happens never the less, so having some different sizes to fit what ever hole size they drilled would be nice. But overall this product does what it implies it does, and does it well, its a good feeling knowing I installed something up to code - and better than some home builders do.

I saw an article about these in Family Handyman a few yrs back, and forgot about them.......Well I saw a guy on YT, and he was giving praise to these little time savers. I love them, easy to install, fairly thick, and affordable. You'll need a 1" hole bit, I bought the Tri Blade Irving ones, easy bit to use. After drilling, you just tap, or hammer them in place so the spikes are embedded.....done! They have a mid slit, so uou can put them on after the romex, or wires are run through the holes. Great product, get them. You will thank yourself later with all the time saved NOT notching out nail plates.1 tip, install these opposite of your outlet boxes. The spike stay out a bit, and will interfere with your boxes screw hole if installed too close to your romex holes. Learn from my mistakes people!
