Extremely sturdy, using it for mounting camera to a table for robot learning researchIt’s much higher quality than some of the other cheaper stands as it’s heavy, all metal. If you need a very high quality stand that’s very sturdy I’d recommend this one, otherwise the cheaper stands on Amazon also are fine

This is a really nice stand. It is very sturdy, extends a good amount and it is very well worth the money. I was looking between this one and another one double the price, but for what I use it for I think it works perfectly. I don't need to adjust it very much, but it gives me enough height options if I wanted to.I use this for content creation at my home desk and due to limited space, I can't fit a tripod behind my desk, but this works out and helps me shoot really stable video vs just setting my camera on a few books or something.I'm sure at higher price ranges you might find something higher quality, but this doesn't feel cheap at all. And for my a6400 with a 17-70mm lens, it is able to handle the load pretty easily.

As it typical of SmallRig devices this extender is solidly built and in my opinion could hold even a heavy DSLR. Still I returned it. My use case was mounting a portable monitor to my computer desk to gain some screen real estate. However, even at its shortest position the mounted monitor was too high for comfortable eye level viewing. That's not the clamp's fault, it mine for not realizing that in advance.

I bought this to use in conjunction with a tripod tablet holder. It's actually a little bit long for that (the shortest setting still holds the tablet higher than my other monitors), but that's my setup's fault more than anything though something to be aware of if you are wanting to use this for a webcam and also have a high desk, since it could be hard to get a straight-on angle).I also would have liked to see some texturing on the shaft of the little 1/4" extender since it's really hard to remove if it gets tightened down too much since you can't get enough grip on it.That being said, those are both pretty minor issues and this desk mount feels quite sturdy. It also comes with a nice little bag to hold it in, which is a appreciated (if probably unnecessary given that this probably won't be traveling much) touch.

I bought this to hold my lighting equipment for my business zoom calls. I am also photographer, and this was perfect for holding my light. while I wouldn't trust the ball head to hold my camera, the stand itself is sturdy enough that if you wanted to use a different head to hold the camera it would work perfectly. However, it is aluminum therefore it is susceptible to breaking if used incorrectly, but it was super easy to set up and change the tip. the size is also perfect because I have a 24in modifier on my light and that comes above my 32 in monitors. So, it's quite versatile for everything I need it to do. All in all, the value is great for the 30$ I spent on it. would i purchase again if i need something like this again? Yes.

I ordered two of these and they were different. The diameter of the screw on top of the poles were not consistent. One was too large for the attachments and the other just right. Now I have to see if I have any adapters to convert the diameter sizes.
