The cassette player flat out does not work. When you try to record to the USB it just catches the first few seconds of the recording then cuts off. Useless to transfering existing tape cassettes to digital / USB which is exactly what I bought this. DO NOT BUY if you are buying for that purpose.

I love the shape of this little radio and it works well with four AA batteries. Sadly, the quality is dubious. The AC adapter stopped working after about thirty seconds, but since I predominantly wanted the radio for portable use, I decided not to return it. I am disappointed with this considering the cost. Other than that it sounds great, is lightweight and easy to use.

This unit is well-made and sturdy. The audio quality is very good both from the small speaker and from the recordings to USB it makes. I've tried several of these players and this is by far the best and easiest to use I've been able to find. The battery life is terrific as well!

Got this to convert 40 year old cassettes to MP3. Works excellent. The quality of the output was in relation to the condition of the tapes. A couple of tapes played poorly, but tapes of the same year played great.Take that into consideration that you get out what you put in. The tapes that played well sounds like yesterday. I also use it to play radio while working on stuff. Great little unit for the price.

I had previously sent in a one star review because I could not get the unit to record from cassette to usb. The company reached out to me in regards to the issue and I then tried using a different usb (10g Sandisk) and it worked!! I revoke my previous review and would like to add that all users should only use the recommended Sandisk thumbdrives in recording. Many kind regards. This product is fine and works as intended.

Slightly larger than other mini cassette players but better made than those really small ones.. Works fine so far. Sound quality is decent, some humming between tracks. Radio works OK though tuning is very sensitive. Antenna helps reception. Have not tried converting tape to digital yet.

I liked the speed at which it was delivered to us (we have a project we have to get into the mail yesterday!) It only took 2 days. I liked that it was easy to figure out - AND THE VIDEO THAT WAS IN THE AMAZON ADVERTISEMENT (LAST PICTURE TO THE LEFT OF ITEM DESCRIPTION) WAS EVERYTHING TO ME as I wanted to transfer files from a cassette tape to a USB drive. Even so, I had to study that tape again after I tried to make my first transfer. So here's what I noticed that other customers commented to:A. I accidentally put the a/c cord into the headphone jack. ..which made it seem like the cord didn't work. So I shifted the cord to the hole below and that was the right one. It didn't fit tightly, though.B. To record from the cassette tape to a USB (it shows almost all of the following on their video):1. First, place your USB stick into the machine on the right side. Slide the right toggle switch, second to the end, to where it says "tape/off". I tried to tape with the switch on "USB/SD" but I got nada. (i found out that button is for you to listen to what's on your USB stick.)2. Next, push the play button on top, where you want to begin, then3. Push the button on the left side of the front of the machine that says "REC" and hold it until the red light comes on, not green. You should then be able to hear the tape as it's recording.4. If you want to make an announcement midway, push the pause/play button on the left front and stop the tape with the stop button on top. Then, push REC on the front left and say what you want to say into the mic. When you're finished, push pause/play on the front left again and "play" on the top to continue your conversion.I'm sure they put all of this in the instructions, but I like to just get started. I hope that helps clarify some points. I think it plays as well as any cassette I ever had. Oh, and when you shut it to begin taping, make sure you press on the top left corner where the sticker says "close here" Otherwise you're going to have problems with the "eject" button keeping the machine open. The "next" button is for toggling between entries.Happy reminiscing!

I've had this unit for about 4 weeks now. It does a good job of transferring cassette audio to a micro SD card but there are some drawbacks. The biggest issue I have with the unit is the weak motor. It has trouble turning the larger C-90 cassettes.Just some background, I am an electronics engineer and I've been working with cassettes for many years. One of the first things I do when I put a cassette in the unit is to "repack" it. That is, I put it in, hit fast forward, and let it go all the way to the end. Then, I hit rewind and let it come back to the beginning. This really helps with older cassettes that may have been laying around for several years. But the unit really struggles with some C-90 cassettes. The Maxells seem to work better than TDK's.It struggles when I'm using batteries or the included AC Adapter. If it weren't for this issue, this would be a pretty good unit.Other issues:When hitting Fast Forward or Rewind, the button doesn't pop-up when it reaches the end. It will sit there and continue to try and spin the tape. This is minor, but it's worth a mention.Audio isn't stereo. I knew this going in, but it's not real obvious from the description.I may try and source a better motor and just replace it, but there's not much space to work with.

This portable cassette player / recorder / mp3 converter is one of the nice put together radios I have come across. It's built well the tape functions are smooth to operate and the mp3 conversion works seamlessly. The radio bands come in extremely clear and they lock in fast. Recoding to USB and SD cards was really easy to accomplish. Overall this is a radio cassette player I would highly recommend.
