This is a classic boombox, from back in the day before bass boost was a big thing. No bluetooth or fancy remote, just great basics. The CD player is great, the cassette player works very well too. The speakers are better than expected, although bass lovers will be disappointed. The radio works well. The two things I don't like as well are that the location of the function switch is in an awkward place, and the antenna is short. An antenna with more segments could have been used to grab more distant stations. Overall 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 stars.

I got this music player to have some soft music in my office at work. This radio has been a great addition to my office as it is super easy to use and looks great. I like that it is small and compact and can fit onto a shelf. I also like that the controls are very easy and user friendly to use. The hardest part about this radio is tuning into a FM radio station because us have to use the round dial to get the right frequency. I love this radio a lot because it has a good amount of volume control for loud music or really quiet and soft background music.

I'm one of the few people still alive who has tapes lying around, so imagine my pleasant surprise at stumbling across an old style tape deck. Even my CDs are going out of style in lieu of digital media, so I'm glad to be able to still use it all. Having a lot of fun with this. :)

This reminds me of my first boom box. It is a medium-sized one. It has pretty good sound. It is portable. The only issue I have is it missing the record function on the cassette player and for the older generations, it is a must. but other than that it is a nice portable stereo and a good value.

The radio functions nicely and clearly, the antenna helps crisp the sound even further if it's needed depending on location. The color is as pictured, a midnight blue. The CD player works as it should, I cannot test out the cassette side which I was not expecting but is a great feature to have for those with a collection of various media. The idea of grabbing this was for radio during storms, power outages, and camping in mind, but you will need to pick up batteries for backup use. It plays loud and clear, or as quiet and humble as you would like for a party or for resting and cleaning around the home.The minus, it is tricky to find exact radio stations, since the dial does not label all the station numbers, let alone show up on a screen to fine-tune it. You will need to play with it, and you could mark it on the dial to keep your favorite stations handy in case something bumps it or turns it intentionally like a child or family member. However, if you move a lot, making a label will need to be removable or cleanable, such as a piece of washi tape you can mark up and remove later.Great for nostalgia, emergency use, camping, playing with your vintage collections, or inheritance.

For my location, it is marginal radio reception.Reasonable speaker quality. No base or treble adjustments. Does not get very loud so better for smaller spaces.The on/off/ mode selector switch is around back of the radio and for the most part, you are unable to tell what position it is in. You have to move the switch back and forth until you get working what you want to work.The icons on the tape and cd buttons are molded in but with no color contrast it is hard to see what's what. Mine was safely delivered but the antenna, plastic hold-down tab was stressed somewhere along the way as the blue plastic color has gone whiteish from being stressed(bent). It doesn't seem cracked, but it is not normal.Don't let the name fool you. Resurrecting old famous names is a regular business practice, IMHO.All that said, if you want something to play these old storage mediums, then this works for that. List price is almost ridiculous for what you get.

The Memorex Little Sweet Blue Portable Stereo arrived well packaged and in great condition. I had bought a 25 foot long cord sometime last year that fit's this one perfectlly. Allowing me to place it where I want and plug it in to an outlet farther away. I jammed to a couple different Compact Disc's: Images and Word's and Leave a Whisper. And a also listened to a cassette I had recorded some stuff on. The Sweet Little Blue Memorex Stereo played everything perfectly. Good radio station reception - It has good clear sound too. This is another very giftable keeper that I recommend.

This is a very good CD/Cassette Player.The unit is compact and the design is easy to carry and place.The unit is lightweight (MINUS the batteries, but it gains considerable weight with 6 ‘C’ batteries loaded, of course!)The controls are fairly simple, with an instruction manual that is easy to read and remember.The player provides good, clear playback with both Cassettes and CDs.The volume level is good.So...Why only '3 Stars'...?Well, it`s the lack of support for MP3 format.Oh, you can jack-in an external MP3 Player.....That is adding something you were not provided...and could have been.There are many units --of quite similar design, with every positive aspect of this one--that DO support MP3.(The price of this unit is generally comparable with those--unless this one is 'On Sale'.)I guess it depends upon what you want a unit such as this to provide....But VERSATILITY is the key to Value in having a player such as this.On a further 'plus' side; I will give this Memorex unit credit for better sound than some I have tried.
