I did a little research on fish spatulas before buying this one and was impressed enough that I bought 2. We had one previously that we liked enough that we took it to Costa Rica with us, intending to replace it when we returned. Being in a hurry for one, we bought a fish spatula at the grocery store and were very disappointed in it. It did not have many of the features we didn't realize made the difference in our selection. Hence my research and selection of this spatula, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

If you don't own a fish spatula, you should. (My son is a chef and he agrees.) And this is a super nice quality one for the money.

Bought this for my daughter because mine works so well with cast iron skillets.

I love cooking with this spatula. The handle fits comfortable in my hand. At first I was just using if to flip fish but I have used it for so many other foods. I can easily lift food and serve it on the plate without it being so messy. If there is liquid I can easily getting to the main item without picking up all of the extra. Really love the tool and would recommend it.

This "fish" spatula is exactly what you need in exactly the right materials. Plastic versions of this utensil do not hold up and are often too flexible. If you buy utensils to last a lifetime and to rely on, this is one you will buy.

I previously bought one specifically branded MIU France. Those prices have gone up, and I wanted one or two more, so I had one to use while the other was washing. I found these, at half the price of the MIU brand. So I bought two of them.To my surprise, they both say "MIU France" on them. They came attached to a product card (the kind you'd see hanging on a rack in a store) with MIU France on them. So they appear to be quite genuine MIU France products. The seller (LANG GARDEN) says that they are partners with MIU.I compared them to my previous spatula. It has only "MIU France" on it, the handle is a different (but similar) material, and the blade had a "hook" at the end. The two I bought today have no hook in the blade, and have not only MIU France but an "NSE" stamp and the MIU France part number of 90011.I'm not sure which vendor is selling the actual MIU France product; perhaps both are, and there's just that much variation in the product. But they are great tools, and I'd rather pay half the price so I can recommend the LANG GARDEN product. (FWIW, the MIU France site lists the wholesale price of these as $10.)

After pouring over reviews I settled on this fish spatula for one main reason -- it is made by MiU. My spatula has MiU written on the metal part of the spatula. I found this mentioned on a few reviews and thought to highlight this important detail. This spatula was featured on America's Test Kitchen as one of their top picks for metal fish spatulas. As an avid home cook, I thought I have many metal spatulas. Why do I need another? WRONG!!! (This is my first Fish Spatula)... It is flexible and sturdy with an angled blade edge allowing you to use it for burgers, large pieces of chicken, yet nimble enough to flip over-easy, soft fried eggs as well as fish fillets with such ease...TERRIFIC! As an added bonus it feels wonderful in my hand. I just LOVE this and plan to get another! Its become the only metal, slotted spatula I use now...THANK YOU....happy cooking all!

This isn’t a well made spatula, but it also isn’t $80 like the one I was considering. What I mean, is the materials used, especially on the handle, aren’t as heavy or strong as the more expensive version. However, I like the shape and functionality of it. The question will be how long it holds together. It definitely does it’s job well so far.
