This is a great light box. It is very sturdy and very light weight. It is very thin and easy to carry around if you needed to. I bought it to make digital copies of my 35mm negatives and slides. What I suggest if you want to make copies of negatives or slides is to buy a black kraft paper to place on top of the light box. Cut a rectangle or shape the size of your negative and place the negative on that cut out rectangle. This will prevent from getting any reflections on you lens and then showing up on the digital photo. Since you need to use a macro lens you need to be very close to the light box and eventually to will get a bit of light reflecting on the lens and that will show on the digital photo.

The power button doubles as the brightness control. It's right on top, and it's touch-sensitive. (Not a physical button.) So it is incredibly easy to accidentially turn it off or change the brightness. It's very clumsy. And there is no indication of the brightness setting, so it's virtually impossible to know if you've set it the same for multiple photos. The device itself works fine to take photos with your camera, but that's all it does. The colors always come out more blue than they should.

I like the product, it’s lightweight to carry around to any location in the house. What I wish it had was a wall socket plug connection.

I found a case of 35 mm slides that my grandma took in the 50's and wanted to preserve whatever was on them. I purchased this light table based on favorable reviews and the low price and am extremely pleased! I have never seen my dad so young in color! I simply placed the slides on the table, turned the light up all the way, snapped pics with my cell phone, and cropped them. Perfect for this project!

I have used a clunky fluorescent light box in the past and wow, this is such a step up. and it does not strobe when used with a digital camera or scanner.Had a problem adjusting intensity until I found there is a trick: turn it on, take finger off button, then press until you have the right brightness. Works a treat. Good value too.

I’m using this to scan slides using a Canon EOS R and a Canon 100mm 2.8 macro. Brightness is adjustable and the color balance is accurate. My results are 100% adequate.

Very bad on/off switch. The switch is a spot printed on the edge of the screen. There is no tactile response and on the first one I got it randomly worked. I had to try MANY times to get it to come on and never could vary light intensity. I returned it and was sent a replacement. This one initally worked fine but now after a month it is starting to act the same way.

This "lightbox" exceeded my expectations for quality and design. It has worked flawlessly for viewing slides and negatives: light weight, variable lighting brightness, and a decent size viewing surface that is textured: negatives, etc. are held in position even when the unit is tilted somewhat for easier viewing. An effective, easy-to-use tool for viewing items that need to be backlit.(I saw some reviews that were critical of the directions. The directions included are ALTERNATIVE to use with a downloadable app so you can process negatives for printing. It's an added benefit, not a feature.)
