STEP 1 Begin by applying a spray lubricant to back side threads of bolts holding left rear lock striker plate in place. Using the T40 star socket remove striker plate, discard shims. Hold GM1A-Rear Left bracket over two striker plate holes. Reinstall left side striker plate and bolts on top of GM1A-Rear Left bracket. Hold bracket firm against body of door and retighten star bit bolts. STEP 2 Using T27 star bit socket remove two latch bolts from right rear door leave 3rd screw in place to hold latch in place. Weather stripping on rear right door will need to be sliced through with a sharp utility knife. Hold right rear door bracket up against screw holes and mark weather stripping from top to bottom in location where bracket passes through. Cut rubber completely through along retaining strip. Then cut another 1/8 inch away from retaining strip and discard piece. Install right rear bracket through weather stripping. Reinstall two 6mm star head bolts using T27 socket. Only hand-tighten this side. CAUTION – Slowly close left then right door making sure weather stripping clears left bracket. Once doors are closed, align lock holes with RD Pin – (dowel pin, drill bit, etc. ) When you are satisfied with alignment, slowly open right side door and torque down both bolts. Shut rear door firmly. If lock fits nicely move on to side doors for installation of brackets using same process. If lock is difficult to slide on and off or difficult to close –Realign right side until desired fit is achieved – brackets can also be modified with round file or drilling center hole to accommodate various lock brands. Be careful to not damage your vehicles painted finish. PATE

Can't lie I procrastinated on installing it cause I thought it would take forever. Man oh man. I went to harbor freight paid 6 bucks for 3 Allen ket sets and 1 was the star head. Once I had that I installed this in less than 15 minutes. So strong and durable and looks good. I didn't even know that is had that metal collar that covers the key hole that rotates. Awesome design. I love it!

Definitely a pain to put on at first, had to drill some holes a little bigger to make a better fit, but now it works with ease. Definitely recommend if you keep important things in your van or even sleep in it.

Excellent concept and really easy application. Install took roughly 30 minutes taking my time. Good fit on my Fleet 2018 E250 and much nicer fit and finish than those ugly Master Lock hinges. Several reviews mentioned space between lock and door, and yes there's some, but they'd have to bring cutting tools to attack both plates. Honestly if they really want in, and have the undisturbed time, they're in regardless of what we do.

Great set. Works great. The install said to remove both plates. But I noticed the side doors only have plate to remove and works great still. So I only removed one of the two plates in the rear and it works great. Much better than removing both.

I do a lot of research before I buy anything and these locks are the best. Not having to drill holes through the van not only adds resale value but looks and functions exponentially better. Some say that these lots are easy to cut off, however even after the lock is cut off the face (through stainless steel, you better have a 6" cutoff or a damn torch) there is two massive plates in the way guarding the latch. As someone Who works with metal fabrication daily you would have an easier time trying to get in the van if you just cut a hole in the side panels. Having OCD during the install I preferred to be able to close my doors with zero resistance, so I cleanly cut a little bit of the weatherstripping around the plate (I recommend using small scissors). If do you watch the video on the slick locks website for the installation they cover everything even as far as fine tuning enough to satisfy even my OCD.

I've used these type of locks for years. The additional features are exactly what crossed my mind every time I locked or unlocked my van. You should pat yourself on the back. And the fact that I could install them in 5 minutes is only way to fly. I was regretting having to drill holes in a brand new van. I was impressed when a ex coworker showed me what they upgraded too. I hope you get rich or at least well off from this product. You deserve it. :D
