The Pilot and gas valve work good, the only problem was a flare on the flexible gas line they provided was leaking, causing me to have to order a new line which pushed my installation time back

Converted my wood fireplace to a custom open flame gas burner and while options were very limited and information scarce (usually only product specs and no good description/info) this unit is compact and versatile in the sense that the outlet line can be run in 1 of 2 directions without adding a 90 degree elbow in your line. Flame height has 3 options H/M/L and operates with no latency. Pilot flame is a bit large even at the lowest setting but that is not something to complain about. Good price, good packaging, simple instructions, comes with all hardware as stated. Install times will vary based on your own DIWHY abilities. Good luck and get after it!

I love this thing. Now that it's hooked up it's awesome!! Very convenient and my kids are even able to turn on the fireplace. Very helpful in controlling the flame too. High/Medium/Low settings are perfect. I can't say enough about this contraption!!On the other hand, I must say that the instructions were written for a professional plumber or fireplace expert. It's good that I'm a contractor and have worked with gas fittings in the past. Make sure to think this install through and know what the device does and how it connects to your existing fireplace. Luckily my retrofit went easily and we're very happy with it! Cheers to the manufacturer!!

Got here fast and was easy to install. Took about 30 minutes. Pilot is a little bigger than I expected but works great!I was tired of always looking for a lighter to light the fireplace. Ours has a little key you turn that supplies the gas. I now just leave the key on in the winter. Will turn off valve and key for summertime.

I bought this item because i was informed it would hook up to the remote i have, but it came without the solenoid. I need this part for it to work. So im dyong to know why seller said it hooked up to my remote when this part is missing.
