I had this charger for about a year or 2 when I had moved to a new town. This charger worked really really well, survived some of the worst rain, snow, and hail that I had ever seen even over night, and charged my car in half the time my original car charger came with. For context I have a 2012 chevy volt used cat, my original charger would take the whole night to charge where this particular charger would have my car fully charged after an 8hr shift. The only negative to this charger is that the wall plug broke. It was hanging out of the wall socket so luckily no other damaged was caused and I also don’t put it past my ex employer to have damaged this charger as it was found broken on my last week with them after putting my two weeks in. But this was a great charger for me, my car, and my charging habits. I’m getting this cable again.

Use it as an emergency charger for my Mercedes EQS sedan. It works very well (lv 1, 115v outlet). Your MB app will not detect charging, but the dashboard shows the car is being charged at 1.7kw. It will give you a few miles per hour. The cable is solid and weather proof, and it took 5 seconds to connect the car to the outlet.

Purchased the MEGEAR Skysword Ⅱ Level 1-2 EV Charger in 2022. It was convenient to purchase it from Amazon and received it quickly. Used it for more than 2 years to charge a Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) 2018 then 2023 models. For more than 2 years, I charged my vehicle with it on a daily basis and the OEM charger has been relegated to be the backup charger for travel. The MEGEAR Skysword Ⅱ charges faster than the OEM charger on a level 1 (120V, 20 Amp) outlet. Also the cable (25 feet) is longer than the OEM cable that came with both vehicles. The extra length allows me to go around the car with no problem. This is important because extension cords are not safe to use with car chargers. The MEGEAR customer service is responsive (by email) when I had questions. I highly recommend this product and would purchase another one if needed.

I’ve had this charger for over a year, and it has worked consistently & without any issues. I have a 2018 Prius Prime (25 miles of range) and it charged from empty in about 5.5 hours on a standard 110V outlet. I recently moved to a house with a 30 amp dryer outlet, and bought an adapter cable to go from the 20amp plug to 30amps. Now it charges completely in less than 2 hours. Such a great value for level 2 charging that can also be used on a standard outlet.

A good EVSE for us, as our breaker panel couldn't handle the higher amperage 30A+ EVSEs. The 16A took us from fully charging our 30 kWh Leaf in 20-24 hours with the included Level 1 EVSE to fully charging in about 8 hours. The included mounting hardware and carrying case are a nice bonus as well.

I returned the first one of these that I purchased because it kept faulting out when charging my 2015 Leaf. It would typically increase the battery charge by about 40-60% and then fault. Thinking that I got a bad unit, I returned the first one for a replacement and then second one exhibited the same behavior. The fault occurred anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours of charging.Based on the LED's on the front of the unit, the fault that happened each time was "Abnormal Current (SCP)". I wrote the company to find out what this meant and what might be causing the fault but never heard back from them on that issue. I tried calling the company in China but unfortunately was not able to get a live person on the phone. Based on my experience, if you have issues, it is unlikely that you will receive much more than an e-mail response. Both units that I had came with a nice carry bag, heavy-duty cables, a cord hanger, and they were well packaged. Although I didn't try it, I did like the 120V adapter option. The first unit had about 25 feet of output cable from the electronics box but for some reason the second one only had 20 feet. Not sure why there was a difference. It looks like several different companies are selling these same devices with a few different options, plugs, and available cable lengths. My guess is that some company is mass-producing the electronics boxes and then resellers just put them together with a few different options. Or, maybe it is all the same company selling them under different brand names such as Zencar, Duosida, Primecon, and OrionMotorTech.Ultimately, I ended up going with a Juicebox and thus far have not had any charging issues.
