Thin pad with gel circles, so it pads the sitz bones without being bulky. It works great and stays in place on my seat in the dragon boat.

So this is a thin pad, but it does work. The pad is firm and dense except for the two sitting bone holes. You put your bones in there and skwoosh them around a bit and presto, your seat is less hard. It is superior to a half inch neoprene pad I ordered. I bought it for my Crescent splashback SOT kayak which has a unique hard molded seat.

Bought this for my kayak and it gives no cushion. Very thin. Used it a couple times and made no difference with or without it. :(

I'm a 50-something amateur musician and I often play music for folk dancing events. The chairs provided at the events are usually quite hard and the band may be playing for two to three hours -- that can lead to a bit of soreness! I've tried a number of different seat pads. A couple of weeks ago I saw someone using a SKWOOSH a couple of weeks ago and asked if I could give it a try -- once I sat on it I knew that I needed to get my own. His pad was an older version but the Dragon Boat Gel Pad seemed similar so I ordered one of those. I've had it for about a week now and have used it many times (mostly in my kitchen and while practicing -- it will go to it's first dance this weekend.) It makes any hard seat much more comfortable without feeling unstable (a problem I have with using other foam pads or pillows).

This pad did a pretty good job. I also have the dragon saddle (http://smile.amazon.com/Dragon-Saddle-seat-Boat-Royal/dp/B01D2TIHBY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1464695018&sr=8-3&keywords=dragon+saddle), which is thicker but somehow this thinner skwoosh felt better after an hour long practice. I STILL felt some discomfort after an extended amount of paddling, but not as much as with no pad or with the dragon saddle. Maybe it's because it grips the seat better. I also tend to sit forward on the seat, so my sitz bones are right on the edge.

This cushion is as near nothing as you can get..... It's about as thick as a thin magazine and not much bigger than a sleeping mask !!! It might be the right size for a small 2 yr old child and I'm not a large woman !!! Way Overpriced for the value of it....
