These are overpriced for what you are getting in terms of material but the quality is good so it's a tradeoff. The worst part about these fenders is the tedious customization you'll have to do. First you mount them - get them even side-to-side, then you mark the rods for cutting (for which you need to be fairly exact). The instructions then tell you to use a small hacksaw to cut off the excess.Oh boy, where do I begin? Have you ever tried to use a hacksaw to cut a piece of small-diameter, semi-hard steel rod that is flopping around with no good way to hold it, all the while making sure not to cut or scratch anything in the surround area? No? You've missed out. Instead, I removed them to perform the actual cuts, filed/sanded down the sharp bits, then mounted them back again. Whew! That was a lot of work. The final product is quite pleasing, though. As much as did not *enjoy* putting them on our bikes, I would do it again if I had to. Downgraded three stars for price, one back up for the quality of the steel.

I recently bought a Jamis Citizen 3. This bike and many modern bicycles are not equipped to add fenders. Be prepared to think outside the box, you will be pleased with the outcome.I like the quality of these fenders. I have a wood shop and plenty of hand tools to enable me to complete this task easily. I installed both fenders and tightened the hardware; front and back. I took the end caps with eyes for the nuts for the struts (see last photo) and held them up to the end of the struts/nuts and placed a mark where to cut the ends. Make sure you take a piece of blue tape to mark the front side of the strut (this will save you some time). Take only one strut off at a time. I used a cut wheel to cut-to-size.I had to use tie wraps for the front forks. You will have to remove the rear wheel to fasten the bottom bolt to the frame (by the crank).
