This is a fantastic grinder that punches way above it's price. Smooth, quiet, and powerful. If you want to mount yours permanently, the bolt holes are centered 8" apart.

This thing is nice and heavy to the point where you don't have to secure it down for most projects you can just set it right on top of your workbench. It has a very slow start to get up to running RPM, which is nice but also just a warning it does take a little while. Other than that this is a very nice unit for the price it gets the job done and the work light is a nice touch. do go on skils website and register all of your skil tools they have a pretty good 3-year warranty from what it sounds like they will fix or replace your tools free of charge.

This thing has quality the minute you open the box. Easy setup. No shake, rattle or roll while using. This is probably the best money I’ve spent on a tool all year. It functions better than expected. Highly recommend.

Spins so smooth it will make any other rotating device seem gritty and crude. Decent power but definitely light duty as I have stalled it on some basic grinding of steel stock.

Good quality for the most part. The lens material is weak. Mine came with a hairline crack (like a pressure crack) this is a problem with a potential defective safety feature over time.Performance or durability is good. I had my son grind down a few things to try out. Did well and the hairline didn't spread as I had used window seal glue. Works well, and feels substantial and durable for the long haul.
