This is my first shot at saddle hunting. The platform is a little heavier than I expected but not a deal breaker and is very solid locking on a tree.

Was a little noisy added some stealth strip in metal to metal areas. Also wrapped edges in paracord to soften up the sharp cast edges. Then hit with some camo spray paint. Very happy with results. Easy and cheap modifications.

So far so good. Used all season no issue. On the heavier side but good overall

This aluminum platform is light and yet big enough to actually stand on if you want to put your back to the tree to take a shot. I find nothing wrong with it, including the price. If you are just getting into saddle hunting this is a nice platform to start with. Like all metal it can be noisy in the woods. I recommend adding to silencing tape to keep the metal noise to a minimum. Recommended.

Good stand but need to consider a couple things before use. After using the stand for the full early archery season, couple things need to be addressed.1) Straps were a little short… I hunt a lot of larger pines and oaks and the short straps will limit tree size. The straps had good cross stitching and held up fine but be aware other users had a problem with the straps not holding. All is good with mine.2) Plastic mushroom-head button (for the strap). The strap button could be a smidge larger diameter. While the straps fit over the button fine, it felt like a little larger diameter would “feel’ safer. Also, the plastic button feels a little flimsy… while we don’t pull on the button, it feels like it could bend and break off.3) Weight. Was a little heavy when packing out the stand, climbing sticks, harness and bow where every pound feels like 10. Wish it was lighter.4) Needs paint. I knew this going into the season but didn’t want to introduce paint smell without time to fully outgas. Probably wouldn’t have mattered after a few weeks but plan on doing this, especially on the square upright post which has a flat surface.5) It came in a box labeled “Ullhunt” and not “Skiguard” but I suspect most of these items are knockoffs of a major brand and are made by one company and sold under many names. Not a quality issue but you may be able to find the same item rebranded. On the positive side…1) the stand is solid and quiet and has good grip.2) The platform is right sized for bow hunting (but heavy, see above), where the morning temperatures are moderately cold and not so cold that I was needing larger (warmer) boots.3) Being able to adjust the angle of the platform is a plus and the bolt/nut pressing on the plastic part of the metal tube keeps the noise level down. Not sure how easy it will be to adjust the bolt since over time “crud” is going to foul the threads and make adjustment harder. For year-1, there were no issues however.4) The upright tube is heavy walled giving confidence the stand is constructed with strength in mind.Overall, despite the minor items listed above, the stand is fully functional and works as intended and is comparable to other stands, but you may be able to find it at lower cost (was $129.99 at time or use but $109.99 at time of review).

I got alot of the big name brand platforms, ros and stuff already. For $89, I thought why not. After playing around on it outside, it's fine. The strap is a bit shorter than the one that comes with a CRZR but it is very similar. Yes this is certainly a TL copy. With the strap, it weighs about 6.6lbs. I tightened down all the screws a touch more for my piece of mind. Just throw some krylon on the thing and send it!
