This universal case might work for your trombone, but it was loose for a back large bore f-valve. The trombone did not feel secure in the case.

Could use a strap for velcro on inside to secure bell section better.

I bought this case for my 88H trombone and it fit, but not a nice nestled fit. The slide slot is way too wide so the slide wobbles. The valence did not meet well toward the bell end and I did not find the latches locked very tightly. Not assuring. When I stood the case on the bell end bumpers, it wobbled. It was not better than my curremt case, so I returned it. I may just buy another replacement case from Conn-Selmer...

My son has used this case for several years now. It has stood up to many band trips. There are many storage pockets and he is able to take everything he needs.

It is a very sturdy case and should protect my Bach 42 w. F attatchment okay. The inside of the case has to be adjusted a little bit but nothing big. It needs a couple of holes for mouthpieces (I use a mouthpiece pouch to keep them from tumbling around. The case is huge compared to the original Bach hardcase, but is also lighter in weight. I am concerned about the latches not being sturdy enough, as well as, the rings for the carrying strap. I think they are just a little too flimsy. I guess I will have to see how they hold up over a longer period of use. Did I mention that the outer dimensions are huge and you would expect more storage area for other things. All-in-all I am pretty much satisfied with the case and believe it will protect my trombone for travelling as expected. Also, as someone wrote in an earlier review, the case is very slippery and I would suggest that you buy plastic/rubber stick-on sheets that you can cut to size and put them on desired outer areas to keep the case from slipping off of smooth surfaces. :-)

Just took an international trip with this case and it worked great. My trombone made it safely despite the best efforts of baggage handlers throwing it around. I play a Conn 88H and it just barely fits in this case. I think I'll probably have to fiddle with the foam some to open a little more room. The top side of the bell section has a little more pressure on it than I'd like.So even though this case protected my horn like a champ, why do I say there's weaknesses? The latches.1) Your mileage may vary but on the case I received there isn't much force keeping the latches down. They don't require much of a bump to pop them up. It's not a huge deal if one pops open during transport. The case is rigid and will stay closed with 2 latches...but I wouldn't feel great about relying on the 2 remaining latches over miles of baggage conveyors and being tossed about in airline holds.2) The lock loop in the center latch is flimsy. It's a little piece of sheet metal. I had a nice TSA-approved lock on it as insurance against all three locks opening during handling. It made it to my destination ok but it was just plain sheered off on the return trip. Lock and loop gone forever. Two tips I have - If you're going to check your horn on an airline with this case a) use the smallest lock possible to keep pressure off the lock loop and b) Velcro straps! I wrapped my case with two 2-sided straps, one on each end. They kept the case shut even on the rare occasions I pulled it out of the tour bus hold and found 2 latches opened. Cheap insurance policy. So yeah, the latches aren't great. The fit for my 88H isn't perfect. But this is still a good case. Takes a beating and protects your horn. I give it a "buy" rating.======================other notes - even though this case offers a lot of protection, I'd still advocate that you remove all items other than the trombone before taking an airline. Use spare rags/wadded trumpet music/socks to pad the slide slot so your your slide doesn't get tossed about. Also, use Doug Yeo's trick of a foam cone wrapped in fabric in the bell to absorb bell-end drops.

Bought this for my dad. Good case, his trombone fits perfectly. There is also a nice group of pockets that let hm carry all he needs. Seems very solid and should last a long time.

After reading a glowing review, I purchased this case for my son's band trip to Hawaii. The case itself seems very sturdy. Hard plastic and good padding inside. My issue is with the latches which seem very weak(cheap) compared to the rest of the case. They don't snap down very tightly and have an upturned edge that causes them to catch on things and pop open. There is no way to lock them down to prevent this. The middle latch does accommodate a luggage lock which we used. Because of the latches, I would not recommend this case be used for checked baggage. Even for everyday use, it would be necessary to put a lock on the middle latch to prevent the case from unexpectedly popping open.
