This item is a good replacement for the Delta handle in my shower. It was easy to install, works well, matches the existing fixture, and was purchased at a reasonable cost.

Quality craftsmanship. Better than those plastic handles. Works great and looks good too. The old handle brook so all I had to do was put the new handle on. Price was right.

We bought this for a Delta 1400 series shower handle replacement. It fit perfectly.We looked in all the local hardware stores and could not find one.This one, on Amazon, looked like it had indentions in its shape and I was hesitant to buy it. But we finally ordered it and when it came it had the rounded top, like the old one.Went on easily, works great and is nicely made. Came with one set screw and 1 allen wrench.

As you can see in the middle picture, this is how it fit originally. I bought this since I can’t find a plastic handle with the correct screw cover design that matches the one that I have, see the picture of the plastic knob. While the original looks okay, the tabs on the center design cover are broken off.If you remove the trim plate you will find that you can extend the sleeve about one inch. The first picture shows handle installed after the sleeve is pulled out.

Very well made! Solid metal with a great fit over the shower valve. I installed a little bit of anti-seize on the set screw to hopefully make it easier in future to remove if I need to replace the shower valve. Impressive quality even though the handle is inexpensive.

My Delta shower (model Delta Monitor) handle was wobbly and the tightening screw was striped. Then I had to carefully cut open my handle with a metal grinder to remove it.In search of the replacement handle, I went to Home Depot and nearby hardware store. However, I could not find anything that would work. After search on Amazon app, I found this handle and seemed similar to my broken one, although discretion did not have too much detailed measurements. Then I decided to give it a try.When I received this handle through UPS, I was happy to physically see it similar to my broken handle. After installation, it was a perfect fit.This handle is about 4 1/4 inches in length and 1 1/4 inches deep. The interior is hollow and has a small block with an opening to fit the tip of the pressure valve. The depth from the top of the block to the opening of the handle is about 1/2 inches. (Please see images for details.)This handle is durable due to its thickness, which also gives user a comfortable grip (While some other models, ex: Home Depot Everbuilt, have thin and sharp handle edges, which is extremely uncomfortable). But I do hope manufacturer can make the handle longer for a better user experience.Hopefully my details would help you to decide whether this product will fit your shower faucet.

What you need to know at a glance:* Good quality replacement Delta shower faucet (see picture)* Includes 2 set screws (one installed in the faucet handle, and a separate one)* Includes the correct size allen key for the set screw* Easy to install* Perfect replacement for existing faucet handleI purchased this Delta shower faucet replacement handle to replace an existing handle that had become loose and had a stripped set screw. When the handle arrived I was surprised by the weight and quality of the handle. It comes with very good instructions that explain exactly how to install the handle, and the package includes 2 set screws (yes, 2 - one in the handle and a separate one) as well as the allen key needed to install the handle. Installation was very easy. I took the advice of another reviewer and purchased some plumbers silicone grease and applied this inside the handle and to the end of the cartridge to allow the handle to turn very smoothly and prevent hard water mineral build up causing the handle to seize. The shower faucet is now as good as new.

Shower handle installed easily, and is very solid and good quality. However, the included instructions explain that you may need to insert a spacer inside the decorative sleeve. The included instructions shows a small and large spacer, but there was only the small spacer in the box, and I needed the large spacer. So I had to remove 1 star for the missing spacer. I am using it with the small spacer, and the results are ok.

As has been pointed out by others, the set screw is metric (3 mm hex wrench), but that's not really a problem because a 3 mm hex wrench and extra set screw is included. The handle fits on the Delta valve stem exactly like Delta's H79 handle. Luckily, I have a set of long metric hex wrenches, which are easier to use than the short (but usable) hex wrench provided with the handle. Would definitely buy this again vs. the very expensive OEM alternative. Can't speak to its longevity because I just received it but I'd be surprised if it wasn't as good or better than the OEM handle. I've had two OEM handles become unusable because the threads in the handles disintegrated, preventing the set screws from being tightened.
