Purchased about 2 months ago but have only been using for the last 2 weeks skidding a few logs,it already has broken wires in a couple of places and one of the spots has quite a few wires broken,which will break sometime in that area of damage and that can be mighty dangerous under tension skidding logs.Its a shame because out of the box it is nice and strong looking,buyers may want to consider other options to skid logs with if there going to fall apart like mine has unless I got a defective one.Now that my 30 day return time is up I'm the one who is left with a defective cable.I wouldn't have left a negative review if it was being replaced with another under a little better warranty than 30 days.

Great for looping around something and then creating a lift point. The little loop is a bit small though, and the shackle doesn't connect freely/without a bit of binding.

I was a bit skeptical about the product claims (particularly the tonnage rating) when I first looked over this rope sling, but I decided to pick it up for miscellaneous tasks around our farm. At minimum, I figured it would be good for light duty tasks if it didn't live up to the description... but now that I have it in hand, I can genuinely say this ABSOLUTELY lives up to claims and ratings in the listing.This rope sling is incredibly well built - From cabling to connections, the sling is sturdy and tough. The cable is a full 1/2" heavy duty braided cable, and the loop crimps and hitch are solid steel of a surprising quality. By itself, the sling weighs a full eight pounds, which speaks to the density and strength of its components. This thing is an absolute beast!So far I've only used this cable to bundle and pull brush from a storm damaged tree... It did so with ease, and it made the process of dragging off the mess exponentially easier. I have little doubt I will continue to experience the same outcome with other applications I find for this sling.In short, this sling is fantastic, through and through. It is well built and more than capable of handling the tough stuff! 5/5 stars, easy!
