I used this kayak wall hanger to hang my kayak from an outside fence in my yard. The straps lasted about 3 months. The fabric rotted and tore in two on one side. The plastic buckle sheared into two on the other side. The straps and buckles are made from cheap material which wont last. Do not use this outdoors.

The hooks and straps seem very sturdy and I have no doubt that they will support the weight of my kayak which is how the item earned 2 stars instead of 1. However, the instructions for setup are extremely lacking and you will need additional items for the install no matter how you do it. If you are mounting directly into drywall, you'll need to go and find drywall anchors that fit these hooks. Otherwise as soon as you put your items in the straps, the hooks will begin to pull out of the wall and damage it. If you're looking to mount the hooks into studs you will at the minimum need a stud finder if you have wood studs you can drill into directly. If you have metal studs you'll need additional drill bits and a flip toggle or similar to install the hooks properly. Given all of this, I wouldn't recommend this product and should have taken a closet look at reviews before I purchased.
